Not exactly a real original idea, but at least fairly watchable. Makes for a somewhat solid sweeps month for Enterprise. Certainly moreso than the weak November run.

Although I see the point of doing the Enterprise version of the orginal Trek threesome with Archer/Trip/T'Pol, wouldn't this of been a good episode to start using that helmsmen? Gee, his name escapes me at the moment..........

That was a rather vague and anticlimatic "death" scene for the bad guy. Think that there is any chance there was originally a "burn-up on re-entry" shot that was cut for obvious reasons?

I normally enjoy ENTERPRISE, and tend to defend the show. However tonight's episode was dismal. All that was needed was for one of the prisoners to change into a woman. Just dreadful.

And to answer what everyone is thinking, I was told Paramount decided to delete the final scene of the ship burning up in re-entry across the blue sky.

My question is does anyone turn into Enterprise thinking it WILL be original???????

Yeah, you don’t want to have any disturbing scenes to bother the 5 to 7 year olds this show is obviously aimed at.

Ok, maybe this is a question for a whole seperate thread, but based on some of the responses I have to ask:

Why do people who week after week rip into Enterprise still watch it?

I personally think it's the worst Trek spin-off of them all, but still enjoy it on some level every week (OK, not "A Night in Sickbay").

I like the series. its like betting on the underdog, mostly you lose but when you win its really fun!

It’s like a car wreck. I can’t not look.

There’s nothing else on in that time slot that I care to watch.

There are quite a few folks who have abandoned “Enterprise.” Some of them came back after quitting “Voyager” only to be disappointed. Again. They’re not posting/trashing here any more.
If it’s the worst, why do you still watch it? What do you find enjoyable? [Honest question: no flame intended.]

I could stomach it when I had Farscape and Stargate to fall back on. But now that Farscape is leaving and Stargate is a shell of it's former self, I can't forgive Enterprise for being bad any more.

It's like this, you have a bunch of SciFi shows on TV, it's ok for a couple to be sub par. But when it gets down to only the subpar shows being left on the air, they look even worse than they did before.

Enterprise is that show.

I still watch it because I still find bad Trek more fun to watch then a lot of the other stuff I watch. I still look forward to Enterprise every week.

Even though it's childish and unoriginal filled with bad writing and bad acting, it still has a small sense of wonder (might need a microscope), it has pretty cool effects, it has Jeffrey Combs, it has Trip (a fun character, I think), although fairly wandering I enjoy the Temporal Cold War, it has several species the original Trek had and we haven't seen since, it still has another season until it reachs the magical third (when Next Gen/DS9 really got going---will it happen, who knows?), and has the future possibility of Federation birth and the possible Romulan war (per Balance of Terror from TOS). That's a lot to keep me going.

Space-based sci-fi is my favorite genre and it's quickly shrinking now that Farscape is down to it's last few episodes.

Well put. You’ve echoed many of my feelings.

I’ve often said that even bad sci-fi is better than no sci-fi at all. But this show pushes my conviction to the limit.

because it is fun to rip something to shreads and it's an easy target????....I agree though....I gave up watching it full time last year and now just tune in when I'm flipping around.

Ive heard this sort of statement from Braga before maybe thats why I dont believe him.
