NBC's "First to Die"

In all seriousness, has anything in television history been promoted as much as they're promoting this thing? I watched 3 hours of NBC on Wednesday and another 2 tonight, and I can state that during those slots, at least one ad for this thing ran in 95% of the commerical breaks. Are they just trying to combat the Grammy's for sweeps, or is thing really that important to them?

I don't know, but the critic for my local paper gave a scathing review.

It's been getting universally scathing reviews from what I've seen. I thought I'd see it but now I just may save those three hours in my life for something better.

Is this a TV movie or new reality show?

Seriously.

This movie is getting pushed so hard....and it looks sooo bad.

I've seriously seen commercials for Lifetime MOTW that look better than this. Is NBC even trying to combat the Grammy's with this? More like ceding the night.

I have read this book actually. I have read almost all of James Patterson's books (Along Came A Spider, Kiss The Girls, etc) and this was by far one of his weakest. I am interested to see how it turns out, and I think that some of the casting is interesting (Gil Bellows for one...I just don't like him). I am taping the movie and the Grammys, so I can watch Alias, and if I don't fall asleep, Dragnet.

I guess the question now is whether anyone is actually watching. I was watching Arena Football on NBC in the afternoon, and the ceaseless promotion seemed increased if that's possible.
