I saw an episode of "Little House" about five weeks ago - and it had Bateman and that taller boy walk in on a bank robbery, and Bateman gets shot!

How long did he last on "Silver Spoons?" One season, two?

I'm thrilled to see so many people remember It's Your Move. It was pretty clever for it's time. Definitely one of my favorite obscure 80's shows. I hope it pops up in syndication some day so I can cap it, I doubt it 'tho. That's what I'll remember him for anyway.

A DVD would be easy to put out - all episodes on one disc, since it only lasted a year.

My brother and I still bring up "The Dreggs of Humanity" episode quite often.
I also liked Tricia Cast his sister in the series back then as well.
Have not seen much from her lately either.
Nice.

Yes, that "Dregs of Humanity" cliffhanger was great! What a way for the series to end. And the chemistry between Bateman and Garrison was hilarious. Also, the mom was played by Caren Kaye (My Tutor). Hubba hubba.

...having mediocre talent at best (am I being too generous?) and getting paid a lot of money for it.

I think any child actor who gains the type of popularity that Jason Bateman achieved has more than mediocre talent.

However, with that said, some children actors lose it as they enter adulthood. Prime example: Adam Rich.

I seem to remember that the reason that "It's Your Move" was cancelled was because of an outcry of parents who felt that the kid character played by Jason Bateman made all the adults look incredibly stupid. They felt the show undermined parents. As a result, the writers were forced to have the kid get caught by his mother and severly punished which pretty much ruined the show.

I was pretty young when this show was on. Can someone confirm this? That's what I remember.

Whoever was in charge of the writing staff for "It's Your Move" severely undermined the show when Bateman's character got caught with his feet up in his mom's boss's office so early in the show. That's fodder for the 7th Season, at least.

Almost parallels "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Dumb parents, but the film was a box office smash in 1986. Bet the writers for "It's Your Move" ate their loafers after that.

First thing I think of when I hear the name is "Teen Wolf Too", which is just too bad for him.

It's funny watching old Saved By The Bell episodes when they'd drop his name like he was someone big and important. And now, he's got less of a film career than Dustin Diamond.

I have fond memories of "It's Your Move". But I also suspect that it's one of those shows that I liked then, but watching it now would be painful.

Sort of like Silver Spoons, actually.

Being popular does not necessarily equate talent. Flip through any number of the teen magazines out there. How many of those singers and actors do you actually think have any talent?

Justine's brother.

I remember that Chicago Sons show - mainly because that was the first I ever saw the luscious Paula Marshall.

Yes and no.. since Valerie Harper was replaced by Sandy Duncan. I think it changed a bit when the changed the name.

Sandy Duncan did not exactly "replace" Valerie Harper. She took the vacancy spot. The mom "Valerie" left, enters the aunt "Sandy", another Hogan. Hence the name change.

I just remember the mom in "It's Your Move" being really, really hot.

The prototypical MILF, if you will.

Odd question. Next thing you know there'll be a thread asking "what Lisa Bonet will be remembered for?"

Ah, The Dregs of Humanity...

Wasn't it a bunch of skelletons with ropes to move the limbs?

That was great!

It didn't end with that. There were 6 more after that, including "The Dregs of Humanity Part 2".
