Arrested Development, Juno, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and now Hancock. Personally, I really like him as an actor. Is this a comeback on the scale of the John Travolta comeback? Or was Jason Bateman never big enough, but his star is only now starting to really shine?
Anyhow, I enjoy his performances in everything he has done. Keep up the good work sir!

Nice bump.
He's made the rounds lately. Wasn't he also in The Kingdom? And he had quite the memorable role in Smokin' Aces.

This thread is great. It inspired me to go back in time five years and talk to myself.
2008 Groucho: Five years from now, you will see a trailer for a Will Smith, and your reaction will be "Jason Bateman is in this? Might be worth checking out!"
2003 Groucho: Ah, hell no!
2008 Groucho: Also, a black dude from Chicago named "Barry" will be the democratic nominee for president.
2003 Groucho: ?!?

I was just observing in this summer school class at the middle school level and the teacher was playing Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium which Jason Bateman is also in and it was a fairly enjoyable movie

Him..?
Seriously, am I missing something. Jason Bateman is Michael Bluth, maybe I'm showing my age by not recognizing his earlier "work", but this is what he should be remembered for..
*Edit, hah, serves me right for not reading the second page..

I got about 10 posts down before I realized that this thread was started in 2003.
No matter what he does, he'll always be remembered for Arrested Development.

I cant BELIEVE nobody mentioned the movie "Necessary Roughness"... lol
Count me in as well as not checking the dates on the earlier post, not believing how AD could NOT be mentioned... he has always been thought of as an actor with great comedic timing
