this set is fugly. i want one here very badly but i hope they make it look nicer. and i hope we get some better features: a commentary or two (full cast?), some featurettes, interviews, whatnot. when did this come to r2? maybe we'll get to see it soon. :fingerscrossed:

This is curious.
Just how is the (above) boxed set "fugly"?
I think it looks quite nice (classy-looking IMO).

The individual components of that set ........

I hope the Region 1 sets (to come in the year 2089) sport these exact same covers. Very nice.

well, in relation to the other tv sets i have (simpsons, buffy, friends) it doesn't compare well. the cover looks pretty tacky imo, but with regards to the other sets i have this one is rather lacklustre looking. guess i have been spoiled. i am sure it isn't that bad looking compared to some of the stuff being made (the cover for the ring ).

I have the UK set for the West Wing and I think it looks fine. My only (minor) complaint is that they just slipcased the 2 individual releases together, rather than making it a single 1-season set. A little awkward.

For people who have this, the first half of Season 2 is coming soon (April, I think).

Why do you think the Brits get American TV shows on DVD before the US does? Does the US get Brit shows on DVD before the Brits do?

Generally, I’d bet the US doesn’t GET Brit shows. (Heh. In more ways than one. )

I think we’re getting “Red Dwarf” a little before them. Looks like the same could be said of several “Doctor Who” titles.

On the other hand, our version of “Walking with Dinosaurs” has some whiney Brit doing the narration instead of Avery Brooks…
