As for the voting off, it started last night and the public each night votes for the celeb they want to win it all. The star with the least amount of votes is voted off. The person voted off last night was........Robin Leech.
What I find to be interesting is that with all of the crap these people are going through, the money is going to charity. But with Celebrity Mole, the winner got to keep the money for themselves and they did nothing.

It's been on almost every night for a week. Thing should get even more interesting as people get voted off by the Public.
If they leave all the girls there without any men, that would be very interesting. Similar to this season's Survivor.

You know, I'm not saying that this is a great show, but I have a strange fascination for watching this show, kinda like driving by a terrible car wreck very slowly. I have Tivo'ed these and have watched up thru Monday nights episode.
The show may be slow and there is not a lot of action, but it is fascinating watching B & C grade celebrities come apart at the seams, living with each other. The fighting between Alana & Julie is priceless.
Though I wonder how I would react to all of that rain and discomfort. And living with all of those bugs and reptiles and animals would be pretty unerving, I would think. Remember, we only see less than an hour of their living conditions, and I'm sure it's a lot worse than we've seen. Probably the worse thing would be the bordem during the day. I don't think that they are allowed to venture out of the camp, unless they are going for the celebrity box. I'm sure venturing out of camp would put their lives in danger!
Here's a thumbs up to an interesting show, that maybe with a lot of refinement might make a good recurring series every year. And I like that they are live, for the most part.

I must admit that I am a reality TV junky. If they put it on, I'll watch it. I'm anticipating The Family & Married By America and anything else they want to throw at me. I'll take it, and more than likely I'll probably enjoy it.
Sure, many of them are most definitely scripted and take on a whole "soap" like storyline, but as a communications/media scholar, it's perfectly acceptable for me to watch these types of programs and not be looked down upon by friends and family. It's all part of my research.

I jsut think it should be on once or twice a week, and not so often. Has anyone else been kicked off since Robin, I went to a concert this week and can't remember if the show airs on Thurdays?

I hope they kick off Tyson's punk ass next. I love how he tries to act like he is still down with the Hood. Yeah right! I think he lost that right when he started prancing down runways in his underwear. And then last night he fails miserably at one of the "Trials" and then doesn't have the balls to admit he screwed up.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The only shocker would have been Bruce Jenner, since he's the All-American guy, who's also been the most positive.
It would be interesting, if on the final episode, they would show the number of votes for each person for each night. Maybe we would see the same person at the top.
I think the person that should win, should be the one representing the 'Make a Wish' foundation. There were a couple of the actors that chose that charity. Bruce Jenner's school charity doesn't strike me as important as the others.

I'm not sure why I'm watching this show... it hasn't been that entertaining to me. But one thing I have liked about this show is Stuttering John. He comes across as an extremely likeable person. Hope he wins.

It's a popularity contest. In the beginning I really liked Tyson, the strong, silent type of leader, then things started getting tough and he fell apart. He continually thought that his competition was so much harder than all of the others. (actually, I think his was one of the easiest)
When he had it out with all of the other players last night, saying he wasn't appreciated by them, they all came back with examples of how they thanked him for making the food and for keeping the place 'hygenic'. He then backtracks and says 'well I just wanna make sure we are all cool' or something to that effect.
No, he stopped becoming a team player and was only worried about himself. He became a liability. The 5 people left now, are in my opinion, the strongest of the bunch and the most useful. But of course it's a popularity contest. So here are my picks for the winner
1. Bruce Jenner
2. 'Stuttering' John Melendez
3. Melissa Rivers
4. Cris Judd
5. 'Downtown' Julie Brown

I agree, Tyson was cool in the beginning, but then his attitude really started sucking, so I was glad to see him go last night. I can't believe how he kept going on about how his trial was way tougher than what the others had to endure, especially considering what Downtown Julie Brown had to endure with the leeches, which I felt was by far the toughest of them all. And besides, even if his challenge was tougher than the rest, he still should have came away with more stars than he did, since he thinks he's all hard and better than the rest of the folks there anyway.
I really like this show. There was some really enduring moments last night when the camp was reading the letters sent from home, especially the sweet letter Stuttering John got from his wife, which not only affected John but also Chris who is still reeling from his divorce from J-LO. It was also kind of sad to discover that Melissa was hurting deep down when her letter was read, even though she was laughing along with the rest of the camp.
As for the lighthearted moments of the show, I got kick out watching some odd ball stuff the celebs keep doing: Bruce and freaking string, Allana and her fixation with boiling the water, Nikki and her constant primping of herself even though they are supposed to be roughing it, and how Robin kept on harping on the other folks on what to do it and how do it, all the awhile he was pretty much sitting on his fat butt, but still he was one of my faves so I was sad to see him be the first to go.
My Picks to Win:
1. Downtown Julie Brown
2. Stuttering John
3. Melissa
4. Chis
5. Bruce

Yes, the Stuttering John letter had me choking up, also. And what Cris was saying afterwards to Tyson about the letter, was pretty amazing. How he could see the true love in John and his wife's relationship.
We don't know the whole details, but J Lo seemed to have really screwed up any chance she has for a successful marriage. Do you really think that she and Ben Afleck have a chance in hell? Two big egos mean doom from the beginning. But it really seemed that Cris would have done anything to make the marriage work.

I was definitely feeling Chris' pain when he was commenting to Tyson about the true love that John and his wife share together, for I think Chris thought he had the same with J-Lo, before she went and divorced him. Hmmm, I agree that woman is too full of herself ever to be able to forge such deep bonds. Next stop for her and Afleck is Splitsville, not marriage.

i only watched this once, but I have a strong feeling Stuttering John will win simply because of the following that Stern has.

there went my pick already for being crowned King or Queen of the Jungle. I thought that the viewing public had taken a liking to her since they picked her three times to do a Bushtucker Trial. I thought Bruce was the one going tonight since it was down to him and Tyson the previous night.

Wow, I got it right with Julie leaving, and tomorrow night's episode should be a real good one. You can really feel the pain and emptiness of the remaining players, when one of them has to leave.
And it was nice to not hear any arguing going on and to see them just have fun.

Well I guess I was wrong about my #1 Bruce Jenner, after he was voted off last night. That tells me that the people of America were getting tired of his 'always on, positive outlook'. At times he didn't seem real or that he had a connection with the remaining players.
The final 3 are the best choices in my opinion. Here are my revised choices for the top 3:
1. Cris Judd (just cause people feel sorry that he was dumped by J Lo and because he has been the nicest person. He was the only one to shake Melissa's hand after the volleyball game)
2. Melissa Rivers
3. 'Stuttering' John Melendez
Should be a good 2 hours, thought the first hour will be a recap of everything that has happened.

Jenner cracked me up. The way he was asking those questions to John, like anyone is going to memorize the details of Jenner's life. C'mon.
I hope John wins 'cause it turns out he's the most likeable of the bunch.

I am glad that my pick for being the winner, Julie Brown, got the boot for she totally lost my respect after seeing her interview. She had such a negative attitude about the whole experiance and about some of her fellow celebs. Good riddance to her.
I am now going for the person who made this show so enjoyable to watch and that would be Stuttering John. He always had me cracking up, especially when he was cracking on Bruce. Although I can't believe how much a wimp he is when it comes to creepy crawly things.
