Hell, that's less time than I invested in Taken.

Have you read the books? Your statement makes it sound like you watched this without any knowledge of the Dune series at all.
Nope! I had no knowledge of the books or the subject material.

...and yet you sat and watched it for 12 hours?
Well, I say I watched the original. I was on and off, but I watched most of it. I did watch all of CoD. It's called giving the mini-series a fair chance in the hopes it will get better. It did in the final hour, but by that time it was too late. Now, if I cut out after a few hours and tried to post my opinions, you would say I didn't give it a chance. Right? So, I gave it a chance so I'd have an informed opinion.

Those are mine. Different from your's I'm sure. But that's how I feel.

I liked this one better than the first, although I found the first night a little dull.

I read the books not that long ago, and enjoyed seeing it brought to life.

I though Susan Sarandon was surprisingly bad, and Stilgar was pretty weak as well, but everyone else was pretty good.

Well, I finally got to Part 3. If I were looking for a buncha action (I wasn’t), I would have been disappointed. But as it was, I can’t say it was all that much.

Great improvement in the music, though.

Well, at least you gave it a chance. That's more then I can say for a lot of people I know.

I watched the first miniseries again yesterday and realized how much better Children of Dune is from a production standpoint. I really did like Children of Dune and hope they continue making them but I think God Emperor of Dune may be a bit tough I guess I'll wait another 15 or so years till someone remakes Dune again.

They can just get Jabba the Hutt to do the whole film.

But who's gonna decide if Leto shoots first?
