at the preview for this episode. What was Luka on screen for, 5 minutes? At least we got a minimal amount of Abby's mom. The only negative is her and the brother will eventually be back.
"9lbs, that's a keeper"
That's not a good way about getting some more of Chen.

Carter finally asked, too bad we have to wait for the answer. Maura Tierney is consistently excellent on this show every week. So is Sherry Stringfield, but Tierney is still the main reason I watch the show still.
It was nice to see Kovac back, even if it was only for five minutes or so. He always has something to say to Weaver. I loved how he knew what he was doing tonight even though everyone was jumping down his throat about it - but he just kept going.
I am glad Pratt took the date w/ the EMT, Chen is stupid and self-centered. I wish they would write her and Weaver out of the show.
No Romano, I don't think he will be around much longer, which sucks because he is such a great character.

Ugh. This is the first episode i've watched in weeks. I used to be the biggest fan of this show, but now it seems like the writers are asleep. Is there a single fan out there that wants to see more of "ER: Abby's Family" ... If so, just go ahead and ask for a freakin spinoff. This show still has an amazing cast, and has amazing production, but the writing.. ugh. Tired.
Worst Season Ever.

Chen: "That bad?"
Lewis: "I thought I was going to have to fake it."
Chen: "An orgasm?"
Lewis: "No, a seizure."
I also loved Weaver's dexterity w/ the button.
2 weeks in a row she's called someone an SOB at the top of her lungs.

By the way, I thought it was hot how Abby climbed under that turnstile at the subway. She can climb under me like that any day.

Luka being Luka (chucking the college dude into the snow bank to cool him.
If he wasn't a good attending, Weaver would have bounced him out of the ER a long time ago. And Luka knows it too.
Overall, a very uneven episode. I still can't understand why they allow the grieving/hysterical relatives inside the ER while the doctors work on the patients. I was getting annoyed with the mother who ran over her child. Plus, I think we've seen this "brain dead, keep the body alive for the other relative to show up" storyline a million times already.
I did like the Fugit storyline with Susan.
I sort of like Pratt keeping his options open (keeping Chen off-balance by going up with the female EMT).
Weaver and Sandy are headed for a break-up with this baby dilemna.
Carter...I think he needs Abby's drama in his life because he's sort of a blank in terms of "life" experiences. Sure, Carter's has some family drama, but nothing like what Abby can offer during Sweeps weeks.
