I don't know about you guys, but I want YCDTOTV on DVD right now. "Hey Barth, what's in the burgers?" "Beef." "BLECH!"

I'd definitely buy You Can't Do That On Television on DVD. Far smarter than any other show in its class.

I thought I was the only one that remembers "Today's Special." I used to watch it when I was a kid. Whenever I mention that show to anyone, they don't know what I'm talking about. A few weeks ago, I was telling someone about it, and they insisted I was thinking of the movie "Mannequin." TS was a good show.

On Today's Special, wasn't there like a code word or song or something to make David (I think that was his name) come back to life after you put his hat back on?

Also on YCDTOTV didn't Barth always say "I heard that" when the kids said something bad about the burgers?

YCDTOTV was definitely ahead of its time. The humor on that show was actually quite mature all things considered.
(By Mature I mean more risque than you would expect to find on a kids' show.)

You know this program was where Alanis Morrisette got her start?

Hell yeah - that was my all-time favorite after school tv show to watch back in the day (toss-up with Mr. Wizard). I'd buy the DVD in a heartbeat!

I liked the Communist episode with the red slime. Little did they know that their own beloved Canada would fall victim to the Red Menace.

Pinwheel, pinwheel, spinning around......

The Little Prince, from Outer Space. He'll catch a shooting star, and sail away. Perhaps, one day, he'll come your way.

Who about the short-lived "Kids Court"? "Fair or unfair ?!"

I absolutely loved pinwheel....in the early '80's pinwheel WAS nickelodeon!

The snail that is always trying to get to the party (Silas)
The bees in the garden
The grouchy guy in the basement that grew weeds
The mime in the crystal ball
Jeff (?) and his magic boxes that made different noises
The little cartoon shows...I remember there was one where the little girl always wore a red dress and when she put her toys up they would always fit perfectly into her cupboard.

I remember all of those. You Can't Do That On Television was my favorite...until Moose praised Jane Fonda.

Roundhouse was AWFUL. Plus, it was in the 90's, not 80's.

I'm actually friends with a former cast member of You Can't Do That On Television. He says he would love it if it came on DVD cause then he would actually be able to make some money from the show, because the producer's paid the kids almost nothing. They were just kids and didn't know any better.

80's Nick shows blew 90's Nick shows out of the water.
