Late night's to difficult now.

Ok, so I have to jump from Letterman after the top 10 to Kimmel and then to conan for his intro.

jesus, late night's become to hard to deal with. why can't kimmel just get a better time slot that can be juggled better?

what do you watch late night now?

I've never like Letterman or Leno. I watch Jimmy and then flip back and forth between him and Conan. If he has somebody I want to see I'll watch Carson Daly but that show is just painful to watch. He had Bridget Moynahan on there tonight and it was just a disaster. The guest has to carry the interview on that show. They spent the first half talking about Colin Farrell and Britney Spears and you could tell she wanted to get the hell out of there. It's hilarious when their's the awkward moments of silence while he tries to think of another question to ask.

I watch Letterman, when it hits midnight I record Lupin and Inuyasha on Cartoon Network. At 12:05, I record the rest of Letterman on my other VCR. Then watch Jimmy, flip to Conan when there is a commercial. When Jimmy is over I watch the rest of Conan, then watch the first half of Conan on the Comedy Central rerun.

See what I mean, Outcast, your case just shows how hard it is to catch everything at the late night hours. why does the late shows need to be more difficult to handle then prime time?

The greatest thing about Tivo is for recording late night shows. I usually just check out which band/guests I'm interested in and record 'em. But that sort of defeats the purpose in a way because Letterman is usually best before the first guest comes out. I've like Letterman since he started... I'm impressed it's still funny.

I guess it pays to live on the west coast. Out here Jimmy Kimmel is up against Leno and Letterman and since I don't watch either of them, I just watch Kimmel. Then when Kimmel is over I switch over to NBC to see Conan's opening monologue.

It's a good thing that I don't like Kimmel, and I find Leno to be a bad comedian who only does obvious jokes, and Conan's the only one who is actually funny. I have it pretty easy. I guess things could be worse, you could live in Afghanistan, right?

Luckily in my market, Kimmel starts at 11:07 and Conan starts at 12:07. If I am up at those times, then I can watch them worry free.

I used to hate how late some of the talk shows aired in Houston, but now it's great. We've always had a half-hour of miscellaneous crap after Letterman and Conan used to air so late here, that Conan came to Houston and did an opening comedy bit about it. There's still 1 and 1/2 hours between Leno and Conan, but it means I get Letterman, Kilborn, and Conan with no conflicts. I don't worry about Conan now cause I can always catch him on Comdedy Central. But with Kimmel and Techtv airing anime now, it's starting to get crowded. I also watch some of Caroline Rhea. Her reruns are on ABC Family at 11 and her new episodes air right after Kimmel. I don't mind any of this though, since I can just flip between all the shows. Occasionally it's annoying if I really want to see someone on 2 different channels and it's too much trouble to find a tape.

Also, has anyone seen Ask Rita? It airs at 1:40AM here and she gets some really good guests. I've seen almost no promotion for the show, though.

your affiliate abc 7 doesnt carry it for what ever reason. Put it on News Channel 2 in baltimore if you can get it.

Dave and Conan have priority, but it does suck that Kimmel starts halfway through Dave and ends halfway through Conan - if anything, I will just tape Kimmel and watch it later. I should just be thankful that my local ABC affiliate is carrying Kimmel and the NBC affiliate finally quit airing Springer after Leno and making everyone wait an extra hour for Conan.
