Items removed from your "Season Pass"
Hi Folks! If this has been done before for this season, please let me know! I looked and couldn't a similar one.
Anyhoo...
I was just wondering what people have removed from their Season Passes this year (be it from boredom or just cuz). It doesn't have to be your TIVO Season Pass. It can be your mental one as well, so basically shows that you started watching at the beginning of the season and don't watch anymore.
Here is my list:
Boomtown - After the first 5 episodes, I just couldn't get into it anymore.
Crossing Jordon - Jordan (and the actress that plays her) started to irk me. The standalone stories also aren't my cup of tea, I guess. I like it better when the season follows a main storyline.
Firefly - I know it is cancelled but Iremoved it way before the last episode and unfortunately, right before it got good according to reviews here.
Survivor - ditched it for the NBC block. More in the mood to laugh than to see people backstab and manipulate.
Joe Millionaire - I only want to see the show where she finds out he's broke.
Coupling - ONLY because I want to see it from the beginning. EXCELLENT SHOW!!!! Can't wait for a marathon so taht I can see it from the start and then I will re-add it to my SP.
Shows that are teetering on the edge of deletion:
Boston Public - sooooo boring now. New teachers area nnoying and aren't really getting developed. It is getting like the Afterschool Specials from the days of my youth except focusing mainly on sex and violence. :-)
John Doe - John may be hunky but his acting is a little too wooden and I am tired of him knowing everything. I know that is part of the premise of the show, but it is just used too conveniently to find clues that wrap the show up conveniently into an hour package.
New shows that I added this year and plan on keeping:
Good Morning, Miami - now that they pushed the nun and the latina newscaster into the background, the show is much tighter and funnier. That, and I like Penny.
Without a Trace - Very well acted and great stories. Not sure how long this will last but for right now, it is a great show.
And the regulars...
Alias, Angel, Buffy (now American Idol but I watch Buffy as I tivo Idol), Friends, Scrubs, Will & Grace, Law & Order SVU, My Wife & Kids, Oz, Six Feet Under, Sex and the City.
Anyway, that is my list. What have you guys deleted?

I deleted Law & Order from my season pass (not because I don't like it but I usually watch it in HD and don't bother with taping it in SD). I added the following:
Coupling
Office
King of Queens
XMen cartoon
Transformers

Don't have a tivo but:
The Practice
John Doe
Enterprise
have all been dropped from my mental list this season.
(although I may check in on Enterprise from time to time, we'll see)
I'm still sort of sticking with Crossing Jordan- basically because of Jill Henessy
(but I did skip tonight's "flashback" episode).
Everything else I watch is going strong IMHO
(24,Alias,Angel,Buffy,ER,Friends,Gilmoregirls,NYPDBlue,WestWing)

I SP some of the reality programs that eventually end. So they are removed from the season pass. Also, shows that don't have first run episodes are next such as Justice League.

In Laws - NBC should be divorcing them soon.

For me, they are called Replay Channels...
Enterprise got downgraded since That 70s Show moved. If I am home, I'll record Enterprise, but if I am not, That 70s Show has priority.
I am close to removing CSI Miami. I haven't watched the latest one yet so I will reserve judgment.
Bachelor/Bachelorette - no interest in the Bachelorette format
Friends will get removed (or downgraded) when Survivor: Amazon starts.
I am close to removing Real World and The Osbournes as well.

Yep, I have a Replay TV and that has "guaranteed channels"
The only ones I have lost this season are cancelled shows: Firefly, That Was Then, Push, Nevada, Girls Club, etc.
I am close to downgrading The Real World and The Osbournes. If I downgrade them to "theme channels" they will only record them if nothing else is on.
I'm also re-evaulating some others like CSI:Miami, Enterprise, John Doe and Boston Public.
I have two players in case of conflicts. My guaranteed channels include:
Alias
American Dreams
Gilmore Girls: beginnings
Boomtown
Boston Public
Everwood
The Practice
CSI: Miami
Buffy
American Idol
24
Smallville
The Shield
Real World
Osbournes
Dawson's Creek
Enterprise
Angel
Twilight Zone
CSI
The Surreal Life
Without a Trace
John Doe
I also catch these when they are on (not guaranteed since they replay through the week):
Coupling
Dead Zone
The Office
Real World/Road Rules: Battle of the Sexes
Trading Spaces
While You Were Out
High School Reunion
What Not to Wear
Dinner for Five
The Pet Psychic
House Invaders
Star Dates
And re-runs: Sliders, Roswell and Outer Limits (only episodes I haven't seen)
Will be adding Survivor & Six Feet Under when they start back up.

Canceled:
CSI:Miami. God, did this show suck. David Caruso can't act.
The Osbournes: First season was great, now it's just stale.
Boomtown: Just couldn't get into it.
Teetering on the edge:
Boston Public. I think David Kelly jumped the shark. It's a shell of a show now. First few seasons were great, but it's going downhill quickly.
Survivor (in any form). Last season was unwatchable, and I don't expect Amazon to be any better, but I might watch an episode or two to see.

Alias - the show just annoys me now. Every episode it seems they must show Sidney getting all emotional and crying to the point that she's a big sissy now. Please let La Femme Nikita come out on DVD soon so I can watch the show this should have been.
24 - too much manufactured drama. I stopped watching the first season of 24 halfway through for the same reason also.
CSI Miami - nobody on the show has a personality.
Everwood - too much overacting
Enterprise - god can they make the episodes any more boring? I actually still record this but I got 6 of them backlogged to watch and am in no hurry to watch them.
Real World - just completely lost interest
Those are the only ones I watched religiously at the start of the season and no longer watch at all.

I really hope Fox doesn't cancel Andy Richter Controls The Universe. He's got a very quirky and sometimes just milk-out-your-nose wet your pants sense of humor.
