OK- who must we kill at FOX to stop these on-screen promos?

You know the ones I'm talking about, these absolutely mind-bogglingly annoying "Joe Millionaire" type ads that zip across the screen covering up half the action. I nearly threw a rock through my TV tonight watching "King of the Hill" when the damned things came on. This kind of junk certainly isn't going to entice me to watch any more of this reality show crap. Who do we kill at FOX to stop this? Or e-mail or write to, if you want to be moderate about it. Am I the only one who thinks these little promotions are as annoying as hell?

Just be thankful they don't take tips from TNN...I'd never watch FOX again if they had that stupid little bar under the screen telling me what's on and what's up next. It's so unnecessary and annoying.

I've never even noticed them... are all FOX stations doing this or only a lucky few?

You have rocks in your tv room? I would love to see pics of your decor.

You refering to the ads or FOX's programming? (other than KotH)

And you have watched "reality TV shows" before? WHY?

I know life is unbearable, but watching reality TV shows is not the answer to your suicide problems.

There was an article about this in Entertainment Weekly. FOX has decided to keep showing Joe Millionaire running on the bottom of the screen (except King of the Hill). In the future, FOX is going to use the same practice for advertising Fastlane.

Yeah, I read that EW article too. They are called "lower thirds."

I say get used to them. I think it will only be getting worse.

NBC is even worse at doing this....

"You are watching Emmy Award Winning The West Wing...coming up Emmy Award Winning Law & Order."

Well duh.

Personally, I will never get used to them. I don't think I'm in the minority, either.

Even though TNN runs some shows that I would be interested in watching, I DO NOT watch the channel. Ever.

If networks start running scrolling ads all over the place and stick the actual programming in a corner (ala Headline News), I'll simply stop watching.

Call it the revenge against Digital Video Recorders. That is why you will see more scrolling ads in the future.

Unfortnately, I think that you will be unable to watch ANY network channel without seeing these ads. So if it's okay to quit watching them all together, then more power to ya. I think a lot of people are going to just get used to it (rather than give up network TV) so I don't see it going away in the future.
