FX Network Armaggedon Feb 1st

The movie started at 7pm and a minute later I go to the bathroom and come back and it's not on anymore now its an Alien movie.

Spoiler below if you haven't seen Armaggedon
Spoiler:
Was this because of the space shuttle today and there's a scene where the shuttle is hit by a meteor. I was going to watch because it has a fairly upbeat ending even though some people are lost along the way

This is probably the reason, but that isn't a real spoiler. a real spoiler for this movie is
Spoiler:
Bruce Willis dies and Ben Affleck cries like a baby and over acts to death from the news.

The shuttle accident is indeed the reason for the schedule change.

Unlike a certain other network -cough- SciFI -cough-, FX had the decency to do a schedule change because of the Columbia tragedy.

Well Armaggedon was scheduled again for today and once again Aliens aired in it's place. I have to give FX credit for making the switch.

Pre-emptnig the movie? I understand why they did, and I'm certanly not faulting them for it. However - quality of the movie aside, I would think that it's kind of uplifting to see NASA and the shuttle play a key roll in saving the entire human race from it's darkest hour.

Want to see something uplifting about NASA? Can't go wrong with The Right Stuff.

Or on the opposite side of the spectrum you could crush someone's hope in the space program and show them "Capricorn One."

Did anyone else catch the Hardee's ad involving an analogy between chicken and the Apollo program during the NHL All-Star game? I thought that this was in very poor taste (the ad, not the sandwich)
