Scrubs 1-30-03

Funny episode

The part where it switched inside Cox's head was great. They should bring back the psychiatrist.

Did anyone else think for a second at the end after Carla called Turk and he hung up right away he wasn't going to propose and go off with Jenny?

MY THOUGHTS EXACTALLY! Wouldnt that have been great! Carla was freaking out way too much and it might have made things more interesting if he would have blown her off or somthing.

I really liked how they were inside Dr. Cox's head and he was doing the narrations - it was a great change of pace. They should do that every so often. His scenes w/ the pshrink were classic.

Dunno if anyone noticed, but the episode was called "His Story."

It's always been "My Something..." Like "My Nightengale"...etc.

A nice change of pace. I loved it when Dr. Cox had to go through the list of girl names.

And the "Vanilla-Chocolate" thing was classic

great episode. just one question. what time did it air? I started watching it at 9 et.

And yet again they add something new to the janitor vs. jd fight. "Batcave here". very funny.

I'm still kicking myself for having missed the first season of this...
Great show and I like how they did the transition from JD to Dr. Cox then back to JD.

Excellent episode! I gotta think they'll do that again at some point, and go into someone else's head. It wouldn't even necessarily have to be Dr. Cox. Heck, for this episode it could've worked just as well to go into Turk's head.

The shrink was great. I gotta think he'll be back in the future. Good thing about this show, they know when something works, but they don't run it into the ground. For example, Elliott didn't take her shirt off in this episode even though they did a whole thing with her dating the "murse" Yet I know the twins will be back! I think they just left for the cameo on Friends

When she finally accepted, the dialogue was silent, with a song over the scene. In either case, she accepted.

I thought it was very clever to have Dr. Cox take over the internal monolouge, but I had one problem with it. It humanized his character. I like him as mean and insensitve as possible. I think they're trying too hard to soften both him and the unnamed Janitor. I say let the torment of JD continue unabaited.

BTW, yes, please bring back the shrink, played by the brilliant and way underemployed Eric Bogosian. He's been punished enough for making Under Seige 2.

Regarding Dr. Cox character, I think that they have always giving him a rough exterior meanwhile showing that he does have a softer more confused side to him. So I do not think it is anything new.

My deepest sympathies They packed enough in this one for two half hour shows! Keep your eye out during repeats, it's a can't miss for Scrubs fans.

Don't forget that due to the addition of the therapist, this turned in to a reunion from the movie Talk Radio! For Bagosian it was almost the same character. Then again, he does that type of rant well. Dr. Cox was his call screener/board-op in that flick.

I don't think it was wrong for them to humanize him. All along, he's shown flashes of humanity underneath his sarcastic exterior. It rings true. Besides, even in his monologues, he showed quite a bit of sarcasm.
Gladys, Ginger, Tiffany...no..Cheryl, Betsy...BETSY...Ooh! That's new! "Good morning Betsy!"
"Heh, you already used that 6 months ago."
"I don't care!" Dammit!!!

I think that they did this last year they need to repeat all the supersize episodes at once. So friends and will and grace the same time.
