Anybody have any idea what all that says in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer intro?

I don't know if it changes from season to season, but the other day, I did a frame by frame on a Season 2 disc, and it very plainly says "Who Died" (of course you can notice that w/o slow motion).

But the rest of it I find quite puzzling...it is in some foreign language...and upside down...also later on it has some rightside up writing in a foreign language.

Has anybody ever heard what all of that is about...or is it even a language and just some uninteligable letters thrown together to confuse people?

I dunno, thought it might be fun to ponder.

This is the Internet. I'm sure somebody somewhere has analyzed them frame by frame and has a webpage about it.

I've personally never even noticed any words in the intro.

I read somewhere a long time ago that they snuck "spoiler" stuff in there, but I'm sure it was a joke/hoax.

I think they're supposed to be pages out of Giles' books.
