got bad news about those who want to see "once more with a feeling on upn (buffy)
according to imdb
in other words, we will have to wait a few years to see the full uncut episode.
are all of the songs on the cd?
The episode "Once More With Feeling" originally aired at an extended length that ran over the hour-long format (approx. 8 mins. over) and was edited down to fit an hour long timeslot for each re-airing. The footage cut included the title and overture, Buffy entering the Magic Box and some corresponding dialogue, part of the song "I've Got a Theory", the entire song "What Can't We Face," dialogue when Dawn enters the Magic Box, after the song "Under Your Spell," and before the song "I'll Never Tell," a verse of the song "Let Me Rest in Peace," some footage in Dawn's bedroom, Dawn's dance number with Sweet's minions, the end of the song "Why Don't We Dance Awhile," a verse of "Walk Through the Fire," dialogue when Buffy first encounters Sweet and after the song "Life's a Show," and the song "Where Do We Go From Here" is shorter along with followed dialogue between Spike and Buffy.

This was known the night it originally aired. UPN re-aired the episode in its edited format. BBC recently aired the un-edited version late at night.
You can find the un-edited version on IRC. I made a VCD of it, until Season 6 comes out in region 1.

This always baffles me about people and TV shows ... why didn't you just watch it when it aired? They promoted the hell out of it, told everyone it would only air in its full version once, and people still didn't watch (not just you).

Sorry but I wasn't "into" the show at that time, so I ignored the promos for it and all.

Sorry you feel that way. It wasn't intended as a crap but something that I just don't understand. I assumed by the comment "been dying to see this episode" that he was a fan of the show who just elected not to watch it. I now see from his response that is not the case. Considering that this is far from the first thread complaining about this particular episode, I asked the question that was on my mind ... why didn't people (who want to see it enough to start threads about it) watch it the first time. It's not like it was some hidden gem; it was possibly the most promoted and anticipated (and most talked about on this forum) episode of any show last year; and yet so many people didn't watch it (as seen by its ratings). I asked ... he answered. Had I known he was a recent fan, I wouldn't have asked; but the tone of his post led me to believe otherwise ... this was my error. If you want to turn this into a "thing," OK, but I assure you there was no ill will intended.

Oh, there is a CD that has all the songs from the episode, you'll probably find it in the "Movie/TV soundtrack" section at stores. I have ripped it to MP3 and blasted it on a CD-RW and have it as one of my albums for my MP3 car deck to play.

Wouldn't that be a bootlegg, since the only legal copy I think are "promo copies" that were in like Variety magazine or something. I didn't think you were aloud to sell those.

Sorry Patman, I was talking about cooper2000's comment about how to get the extended version on ebay, its just that your post came in a minute before mine.

Yes, it's bootlegging. The level of illegality and immorality I'll leave up to you.
In any case, if you can't track one down, I'll send you a copy. I would highly recommend you read my post in http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=260711 and make sure you have seen the episodes leading up to this before watching it.
