The 80-81 season though I'll cut a break. They had to follow the "original cast" that put SNL on the map. And they had to do it without any of the former cast members to help transition them in. Lorne Michaels had left too and I'm sure that hurt the chances of the new cast being able to transition into the show. Yeah...it sucked...but given the situation it almost had to suck.

DVD Talk Hall of Fame
I am getting off topic, but some time ago I found a website that gave the sketches of each show and also had comments about them.
Does any know this website?
I would have to go with right now as well. I would rather watch the Anthony Michael Hall (
) episodes than what is on right now.

Guess I'm the only one who remembers Terry Sweeney from that awful 1985-86 season. He was the only person who made me laugh with his Nancy Reagan and Joan Collins impersonations.
Also, I think Molly Shannon was just as funny if not funnier than Cheri Oteri. As was Ana Gasteyer. She had quite a few hilarious characters and moments. Will Ferrell too. But now? The show is just AWFUL!
