Perhaps Lucas can view Episode III as 240 five minute shorts then...

It was interesting.

I think they did a good job with the animation, especially Anakin and Obi-Wan

i thought the skin on Palpatine's face looks like it's about to fall off. They drew him weird I thought.

I dunno, I thought he looked very evil. I saw it today myself and I didnt think I would like it very much but I wanted more. I think at the most these could have been 15 minute shorts like Aqua Teen or Sealab 2021.

I just watched it off cartoonnetwork.com, very nice, but waaay too short. Let's hope GL is impressed enough by these to greenlight even more episodes, and with a long running time.

Way to short and I'm not a big fan of the Sam Jack art style being used here so eh.

why not just do a regular length series? The material is there, and it was good to watch, but 5 minutes is stupid.

I enjoyed it, but like everyone, I wish it was longer. 5 minutes doesn't give them much room to work with.

I don't think there's really any need to guess, Lucas has taken the plunge into DVD, he'd be a fool not to release them. The only question is when.

I'd assume it would coincide with episode III but that is way too far off in the future. (may 2005?). unlees they release it closer to 2004 ( when the OT may supposedly appear)

Yes, but will they be the ORIGINAL versions? Or Special Editions...?

The Clone War cartoons are only 3 minutes long. NOT 5 minutes. I watched the first episode and felt it was incredibly stupid. I asked myself... what the hell can you show thats interesting in only 3 minutes? I got my answer. Not a goddamn thing.

I thought it was very interesting. And like what Tuan Jim said in the very first post, at least we don't have to put up with unneccesary bad dialogue. I think they will definitely have a different impact when collected on DVD and played all together.

If you don't like watching them 5 minutes at a time, just wait until Friday, Nov. 21. Cartoon Network will be showing all 10 episodes in 2 half-hour segments. Episodes 1-5 in the first half-hour, and episodes 6-10 in the second half-hour.

But that means I have to actually wait to see it! I'd rather download them and watch them whenever I please.

I think I'll tape it when they show it that way. Lot easier to archive that way.

If you watch them online, there's optional commentary tracks.

"Commentary tracks"...?

Why do I get the feeling that'd be like listening to an episode of Conan's smash series "60"...?

Did anybody else think that Palpatine was Mr. Burns there for a moment?

I'm sure that this will work out much better once all the episodes are wrapped up and put into 1 complete package.

Indeed, I thought it was actually him. But it's some guy named James Arnold Taylor
