I see ER and now 24 two hours before everyone else... Third Watch used to be there as well but the network moved it up with ABC...
No one else see it or what?

I thought it was a good episode:
I really liked Don Cheadle as Nathan - too bad it won't last for long, but at least we can watch one of the best actors working today for a few weeks - but is his storyline very realistic? a med student w/ Parkinson's and visible symptons? wtf?
Maura Tierney (Abby) can be my nurse anytime.
Kovac is a man-whore, damn, he gets around!

I thought this was a pretty solid episode, good characterizations going on while the ER is filled with burned victims, and other tragic situations:
Hiker winds up contracting flesh eating disease and requires amputation, something that Romano fought for a long time in the OR while Corday was brought in to stave off such an outcome.
Romano has always had the hots for Corday. He let his guard down after that surgery that resulted in the amputation, which was just as traumatic to him as it was to the hiker.
Kovach and Chuney - hahahaha. Chuney gets around, she bopped Green a few seasons back. Kovach does have a chauvinistic attitude towards some of the nurses.
The mercy DNR he had to extract from the woman trying for years to have a child, and she has a child that is destine to die really young, was very sad.
Abby's naughty nurse outfit should become the required dress of the ER.
I literally LOL when they brought in perpetual erection dude. Oh goodness, that was funny. The PE dude was the same guy who grabbed Ally McBeal's butt 4 years ago and caused her to wind up at Cage and Fish.
Don Cheadle's guest spot as a med student (Nathan) with Parkinson's disease was handled pretty well. It was quite wince-inducing watching his shaky hands try to do the simplest hook-up procedures. I think Nathan is destine for diagnosis, but won't be able to do the hands-on portion of medicine. I don' t even know if he'll last past next episode.
Weaver is totally out of it. She's got some major issues going on.
Did Susan have more than a minute of screentime? Same for Chen and Gallant.
Next week offers some more fireworks.

I actually liked this ep. It's probably since Don was on it & Romano had more than a thirty second bit.
I laughed when Wally asked to feel Abby's breasts. I think he'd have to find them first.
Yes...I don't like her.

Innes directed so maybe that's why she got to sleep in it
Very good episode, I was having my doubts so far.
I always like when Romano has a bigger role, reminds me that they are in a hospital after all.
Hardly any Susan though...feh. And Luka...are we just supposed to believe he doesn't give a crap about his job at all?
When is Carter going to fire the nurses he's supposed to??

Kovac is starting to remind me of the Mark Harmon character on St. Elsewhere. Hope they don't go down the same road they did with Harmon's character, not so much that it wouldn't be appropriate, but it would be just too obvious in this day and age.

Don's role reminds me of the extended guest shot Alan Alda did a few years ago. I don't look too hard for explainations when a dude like Don Cheadle shows up, I just enjoy.
Put me down as approving of Maura in that Corman-movie nurse's outfit, too. Get one on Ming-Na.

Agreed on Maura Tierney, although it looked like she was filling out the naughty nurses uniform a little more than I remember (and I'm not talking about what the one guy wanted to touch).

But I know what you mean. There were a couple of shots of her walking away from the camera where the caboose was a tad wider then I would have suspected.
Must be just the camera angle.

I'd still hit it!
Didn't Carter ask her for a sponge bath?!?

Don Cheadle is awesome. That guy is enjoyable to watch no matter what he does.
I think its official, Keri is trying to have a baby. Mark my words, you heard it here first, I'm putting my personal garuntee on it.
Did the writers do the impossible? Did they actually make me feel sympathy for Ramano? Nice job.

I think the show needs to take some hints in subtlety these days, but nonethless, it was a good episode.
I too thought Cheadle was great, for a few reasons. Obviously, he's a talented actor and he brings presence. Also, though, it's nice to just get away from all the other major characters who have become annoying to me at this point.
The show seems to be moving away from suspense and moving towards soap-opera-esque character arcs, and well, characterization is important, but it just seems to be done without motivation. Like, okay, now Kovac is a dick. Next week, he's going to be lectured about being a dick...etc.
I much preferred the earlier seasons, but it's still one of the better programs running in primetime.

What's up with Kovac's character. IIRC, he was this sensitive, caring person not two seasons ago, and now he's suddenly a chauvanistic ass. have they just written it in this way, hoping no one will notice, or is there a reason for this character shift?

Have to say that this episode was a treat though. It's great to see Don Cheadle on TV again. Seems like we haven't seen him on TV since Picket Fences. Hope he stays for the rest of the season at least.
So it looks like Pratt finally gets Chen into bed next week... ew.
Maybe Abby ought to start pimping Kovac out for some extra cash.
