I'm really looking forward to the new season as well, but didn't you start the countdown just a wee bit early?

I don't think so, I think I'm actually going to start a "count down to season 3 thread" so we can all start getting amped for that too

FX doesn't think so. The character teasers seem to be on everytime I flip over. I love Shane's commercial- "I'm not gunna take it anymore!" He's not well.

ooooh... I so can't wait.

Luckily, I'm still on break at that point, so if amazon.ca gets me my set in time, its going to be me watching that on the 7th, and then hopefully by the 8th or 9th having a full-on season one marathon.

Nice did not realise this was coming back so soon, makes up for losing Robbery Homicide Division.

Are they going to do any reruns beforehand, like another marathon for the people who hadn't caught on? I'd just like to see the last episode or two again to refresh my memory. Plus, that was one of the best season finales I've ever seen. I always thought the show was good, but sometimes it seemed like they were just going for shock value. They stepped up big time in the last few shows.

He's not a cop. He's Al Capone with a badge.

I am so glad that Michael Chiklis won the Emmy. Not just because he deserved it ( ) -- it gave the show more legitimacy and some serious bragging rights.

ALL 13 episodes have a commentary track!!..

I think that's pretty cool for an hour drama..

I don't know of any other box set that does (excluding the Simpsons)

The First season of Twin Peaks on DVD has a commentary for each episode...albeit there's only 7 shows in the set

I really can't wait for this. This is my favorite show (well, tied with 24 and Sopranos). I can't just pick one.

They start rerunning the 1st season on FX January 1st at 9 p.m., 10 p.m. & 11 p.m, and then it looks like they'll run 2 eps a night at 10 & 11 p.m. through the premiere.

I must say, I really like those commercials they've been running. The ones where the whole 30 seconds concentrates on one character in B&W, with some voiceovers from said character. There's just something very effective about those.

Does anyone know when this season is airing in Canada?

Season one just finished on Global and i'd rather not wait another year of s2.

All of it.

Intriguing stories, interesting characters, unpredictable situations (and deaths), graphic (as in "not watered down) violence, SOLID acting and tons of "holy ####!" moments throughout.

I can't wait for the new season.
