What's Going to Happen To Niles on Frasier?

Has anybody caught the promos for the November episodes of Frasier? They allude to Niles dealing with something unexpected.

I have been badly burned by NBC's often-misleading commercials in the past, so I wanted to see if anybody has the scoop on what is going to happen to Niles.

Or, at the very least, some speculation?

I'm guessing that somebody important in the show will die. Perhaps Maries, Nile's ex-wife........

That's what I think just from the promos.

Niles goes to audition for a television show, and Frasier goes along for moral support. However, the people running the audition see Frasier and decide to cast him instead.

I don' think the auditioning for the TV program is what is being suggested in the promo spot.

The Maris thing sounds more appropriate.

Any other ideas?

I bet it'll be something involving Frasier being proved to be a pompous git. They haven't done that one yet.

Didn't they use that storyline in the Simpsons SideshowBOB and his brother ep. ? Except in that case they were auditioning to be clowns

Here's something

Spoiler:
11-05-2002, Episode: "Star Mitzvah" ... Meanwhile, Daphne's (Jane Leeves) discovery of some unsettling information about Niles' romantic past -- namely his night of passion with ex-sister-in-law Lilith (guest star Bebe Neuwirth) -- creates some tension with the newlyweds.

Maybe if Daphne saw how funny the episode was, she'd be allright with it.

Meanwhile, Niles’ (David Hyde Pierce) lingering toothache prompts him to investigate the matter via the Internet, only to discover the remote possibility that it may be a sign of something worse. Peri Gilpin also stars.

Sorry Groucho for stamping on your joke, but in my defense it's hard to tell on the net whether someone is being charmingly witty, or just dense and needs help with an answer.

Groucho likes to hide his humor behind a veil of plausibility. He used to hide it behind a veil of taffeta, but people didn't laugh as much.

I like to think of him as a fisher of men. Kind of like Jesus, only six, and he's actually been to North America.

Hey, if Jesus hadn't been to North America, why would Moroni tell all the Morons that he had?

Now, now, don't be rude. There are LDS on this board, you know... And we shouldn't single any one group out for ridicule.

How about those goofy Baptists, eh?

I think the accepted plural is Mormii.

It's supposed to be a "health scare" for Niles.

Let me see if I get this right...

Kelsey Grammer (who plays Frasier) also does the voice of Sideshow Bob on the Simpsons. If I remember correctly, there is an episode of the Simpsons where Sideshow Bob gets a job that his brother was auditioning for.

So you see, it's funny cause it's true!

Edit: Oh yeah, and David Hyde Pierce played the voice of Sideshow Bob's brother, Cecil.
