Criss Angel - Mindfreak Anyone?
Anyone watch goth-looking magician Criss Angel on Fox Family channel on 10/20?
Maybe I'm getting old, but man they could have used a few less "manic" edits and weird sounds. It was like a mini-acid trip half the time.
Even my 11-yr old daughter remarked a couple of times that a particular trick or illusion might have been better if she could have actually seen it (as opposed to trendy edits).....

Thread back from the dead. Watching his levitation act now on A&E - pretty dang impressive, he's outdoors and just floated as high as the top of a doorframe. Edits must have changed since this post, I could see the whole illusion just fine.

Very cool illusions, though his gothic metal-head persona is annoying. Methinks there are a lot of camera tricks here, and that the magician is surrounding himself with friends in on the illusions.

seeing people levitate off the ground is cool period
I liked this guy despite the gothic look plus anybody who loves his mother as much as he does is alright in my book

Probably the same way David Blaine did it in front of Deion Sanders and a couple Dallas Cowboys players many years ago... magic!

Well, I've lost interest after two episodes. Episode 3 was the Sundance hanging from hooks. While interesting, 5 minutes would be fine and the rest of the show, the fun street stuff. Looks like the next episode (burried) will be more of the same. If anyone knows if he goes back to doing fun street magic again, let me know and I will tune back in.

His street magic is very Blaine-ish... but at least he puts on a decent stage show. Too many edits to hide the trick. I'd rather see a single take. Who edited this? Michael Bay?
