Ahmad Rashad to Host Celebrity 'Mole'

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Sportscaster Ahmad Rashad will be calling a different kind of game later this season when he hosts the celerity version of "The Mole" for ABC.
The Emmy-Award winning sports journalist and former NFL all-pro wide receiver will replace Anderson Cooper, who hosted the previous two versions of the reality contest. Cooper is now focusing on his news reporter and anchor duties on CNN.
"Celebrity Mole" is a special six-episode version of the contest with a pot of up to $250,000. Seven celebrities will try to figure out which contestant is really The Mole, a double agent planted by the producers to sabotage the players' efforts. Rashad will lead the players through a series of challenging physical and mental games to earn money for the pot, which will ultimately be given to the last player standing against The Mole.
"We are thrilled that Ahmad has signed on to join us as host of 'Celebrity Mole,'" says executive producer Scott A. Stone. "His energy, hosting expertise and competitive spirit make him the perfect choice."
Rashad has hosted "NBA's Inside Stuff" for 12 seasons and recently signed on to work with ESPN and ABC on their newly acquired NBA coverage. Before he began his career as a sportscaster in 1983, Rashad was a four-time pro-bowl player for the Minnesota Vikings and was recently voted to the Viking's 40th anniversary team.

I hope Ahmad knows what he's doing. All that time he spends hosting The Mole could be devoted to finding new and more effective ways to kiss Michael Jordan's ass.

Oh, Dear Lord. This is soooo not good.
Well, maybe it's just for the celebrity version, then they'll get somebody else. Just get another "nobody" to host Mole 3.
I'm not sad anymore at Anderson being out, now I'm MAD! Yo, Cooper, be a man and tell those CNN pricks that you want to wear two hats, and they'll just have to deal with it! You let the network force you out of The Mole, and look what happened to the show you helped to blossom -- it now has AHMAD RASHAD hosting!
