letterman vs. leno
i personally can't stand leno, he's so unbelievably annoying! i love letterman, grew up with him and thinks he's one of the best writers out there. (leno steals most of his material too)

Leno is a smarmy hack - Letterman is a pioneer and ten times funnier. Although I must agree that even the Great Dave is losing it a little bit. Conan is by far the best on the major networks, with Jon Stewart being the best of the late night lot imho....

Letterman is, always has been, and always will be the man. He can turn any comedy bit, any interview, and any situation into comedy gold.
Leno is ridiculously unfunny and a sad, sad travesty of late night TV.
Conan is enjoyable, and Kilborn (sp?) has grown a lot on me in the past year or so. When he first started out, he was horrible, and I definitely preferred Conan to him, but he's gotten a lot better with everything from the monologue, to the bits, to the interviews. He's miles away from Letterman's genious, but for my money, he's a little better than Conan.
By the numbers:
Letterman - 10/10
Kilbourn - 7/10
Conan - 6/10
Leno - 1/10 (headlines occasional funny caption gives him the one point)

I'm in the minority, but I've never liked Letterman. I've never found him funny and that Top 10 crap is lame as hell.
Leno is pretty unfunny and his skits are horribly lame as well. However, I find myself watching him more than Letterman.
I like Conan. He's a big dork and he knows it. I love his string dance and when he walks up to the camera super close during his monologue. He doesn't interview terribly well, but I think he's the funniest late night host overall. We need more Triumph!
I think Craig Kilborn is pretty funny, though I didn't think he'd be able to make the transition from Sportscenter into comedy. His skits are pretty lame, but the recreation of a press photo is sometimes funny and I like his 5 Questions.
The first time I watched Carson Daly, his guest was Snoop Dogg. I hate Carson Daly (because, among other things, he dated Jennifer Love Hewitt & Tara Reid), but I thought he was pretty good. I think his interviewing skills are pretty decent and he's surprisingly funny sometimes.
