Question RE: Tough Enough 2 and Jackie Gayda
How in the world did she make it through that show? I watched part of MTV's marathon this past weekend and saw the show where she cracked and made it with another guy. When she called her mom it seemed like the whole thing was staged in terms of her conversation as the mother seemed rather peeved about Jackie sleeping around. I really don't understand what the mother's deal was. She said Jackie was "throwing her life away" by cheating on her ex-BF. Why? Was her BF heir to some major amount of money or something?
IMO, Jackie seems more like a manufactured character with all of her "drama" staged and I think it was planned from day one that she would win. The sad fact is that all she could and can offer is (.)(.) and that's about it. My understanding is that she can barely hack it in OVW, which is a pretty bad sign.

Isnt that what all the women are for? As far as your question about her BF, when I watched the show the first time, I was wondering the same thing. I dont even know. Last night MTV had the reunion show and that was highly entertaining. Pete told Jackie she wasn't all that.
Anyway, it may have had a lot to do with her continuing on after she got hurt. Its not like its a big deal anyway, Anni (spelling), the tall blond, is in the OVW, too. The big guy who quit, I forget his name, signed a 3 year conditional WWE contract. Apparently, everyone but Alicia is still involved somewhat in wresting, whether it be OVM, or behind the scenes. Oh, and Darryl. Did you see how Tazz spoke to him last night? YIKES!!!

There is absolutely no way that we as viewers can pick one contestant over the other with regards to skill in the ring. They train for hours a day, several days a week, and it's chopped up to maybe 10 minutes worth on the show. The show can edit the footage to show a contestant in any light they wish. However, I am totally convinced that the decision to choose two females to win TE2 was made months beforehand, perhaps even before the second season began taping.

Seems to me all the Tough Enough winners' careers are as dead as the ratings both RAW and Smackdown are generating lately. Maven broke his leg (riiiiiiiight) and hasnt been seen since. Nidia is stuck in this white trash angle. Mr Harvard grad....right no one cares. And the last two TE 2 winners had a premire match on Smackdown, and then..............poof! Makes me wonder why they are bothering with a TE 3.

Well, I do. That is a very good gimmick IMO. He's from Harvard, playing a snobby Harvard graduate, VERY well. He gets easy heat from the crowd. And also, he is in great shape and is the best wrestler to come out of TE. He has a bright future ahead of him, even if no one cares.

. I just think that his bitterness about not being picked as a TE champ was weak, it was made VERY obvious that he was jealous. And then to see him on WWE programming just made the whole thing stink of "staged". And really (IMO) ruined the idea of having a TE champ, when you pick one of the 'losers' for a development deal. They didnt pick him for a reason.

Well I've said it many times myself. If a wrestler makes you that annoyed and you hate just about everything he does, and so does the crowd...then he is doing his job

So the reason Jackie's mother wigged out is still a mystery? The way her voice sounded seemed more like some second rate actress than an actual mom. Her daughter broke up with her BF, what's the big deal? Most mothers are supportive of their daughter's decisions, esepecially when they reach a certain age. (I think Jackie is 20+ and perfectly capable of making her own decisions.)
On a side note, I hope the WWE ratings fall big time and force Vince to try desperate acts that might include removing HHH from the spotlight.
