Actually from Helen's point of view her best interests lie with voting off Ghandia. Look at it this way, if its a 3-3 split guys voting Ghandia, girls voting Clay then they do the random/rock thing and 1 of the 6 is gone...that could be any one of the 6. You're better off making a compromise and ensuring someone gets voted off than letting random chance take its toll.
Specifically Ghandia was the best choice to go as she was causing the most trouble, lowering morale, and adversely affecting their chances to win challenges.
As for the guys now voting off the remaining two women, it seems to me the tribes will be shaken up soon and new voting blocks will need to be formed so that shouldn't be a big concern for Helen...maybe one more vote off before that and she would only have to worry about her vs Jan (who doesn't contribute as much as she does).

I thought that they counted up previous votes from previous tribal councils to break ties in voting? Or did they change this in the last two seasons (I didn't watch)?

If I was one of the other guys on that team, I'd want to vote out Clay before Helen. Helen seems a lot more capable and stronger than him.
I'd get rid of Jan & Clay first. Hopefully they don't try and boot out all the women first.

Shoot, I'd be more apt to try to boot out the strong since we're getting close the merge. Keep the old farts around as you advance 3 days at a time before you have to give the old farts the boot one by one.
