put me down for "the west wing". the orchestral music is not something you see very much of today and it fits so well with the tone of the show. snuffy done good.

Many good ones I'd forgotten have been mentioned, such as Cheers, Greatest American Hero, Dr. Who, TV Nation, Simon & Simon, A Team, Airwolf, Knight Rider, Magnum.

Speaking of Snuffy Walden, I think his best score was for My So-Called Life.

Then there's also that song 'Hero' (or something like that) from the short-lived show Cover Up.

I really like the theme from The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr. I've noticed that NBC has used it for years in their Olympics programming and maybe in some of their other sports programs.

That's My Life by Billy Joel.

There was some legal problem with it and it is no longer used when the show is rerun.

Yeah, it's like a Must See TV NBC s(h)it-com with all these stars.

das

You know das, as soon as they had a few stars on towards the end on last year I said I hope it doesn't become a cavalcade of stars but low and behold there it goes. Oh well...

Hopefully, it was just a brief "thing." Don Cheadle was hilarious in his role, and I must admit to enjoying the golf tournament with Matt Damon. Let's tone it down, though ... this ain't NBC.

Cheers
Greatest American Hero
Growing Pains
MacGyver
Robotech
Silver Spoons
Tour of Duty
("Paint it Black" by the Rollings Stones...though when I caught the reruns on TNT, they always played the original theme which was not "Paint it Black" and was all instrumental)
The Young and the Restless (I don't watch the show, but the song is nice)

Nobody mentioned the Golden Girls????

I also liked the Brady Bunch and the ORIGINAL Wonder Woman theme.

What's Hapenin was a nice bouncy tune as well.

I would imagine there are ... oh ... a few hundred different variations of it, seeing as the Chairman himself recorded it some 40 years ago.

Dude - I got one for you:

"We're off to Outer Space, we're leaving Mother Earth
To save the Human Race -
Ourrr Starrr Blazerrrs!

Searching for a distant star
heading off to Iscandar
Leaving all we love behind
who know what dangers we'll find!

We must be strong and brave
our home we've got to save
if we dont in just one year,
Mother Earth will disapear!

Through all the fire and the smoke
we will never give up hope.
If we can win, we'll keep peace alive
with our Star Blazers!"

Now THAT was a rocking theme.

Yeah a rocket
Into Outer Space
Goodbye Human Race
I'll be there soon

Blastoff
For fun and adventure
Yes I said adventure
Collecting Stones

Yeah it's my way
Or the 'ole space highway
That's why they all say
"There goes Astronaut Jones!"

Land of the Lost

"Marshall, Will, and Holly
on a routing expedition
then the greatest earthquake ever known
High on the rapids
Shoke their tiny raft
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Down a thousand feet below
to the land, land of the lost
to the land, land of the lost
(Then the dinosaur) RRAAHHH

Agreed! Every time I hear that music I look up from what I'm doing. Great theme.
And along those same lines I'm surprised no one has mentioned The Wild Wild West (the original series, not that idiotic movie.)

You woke up this morning
Got yourself a gun,
Mama always said you’d be
The Chosen One.
She said: You’re one in a million
You’ve got to burn to shine,
But you were born under a bad sign,
With a blue moon in your eyes.

You woke up this morning
All the love has gone,
Your Papa never told you
About right and wrong.
