Ed 10-2
Hello everyone out there. Please post your comments on tonights episode. Also tell who your favorite Stuckeyvillians are. My favorite Stuckeyvillians are Warren and Ed. Also has anyone noticed that Ed and Gilmore Girls are similar shows? They both have a small town setting, the small town is full of odd and eccentric characters, and the shows have a kind of fast paced and quirky dialouge.

I'll be watching for sure! This is one of my favorite shows. I like Warren a lot too. Hopefully he has more screentime in tonight's episode than he did in last week's premiere.

From my TiVo episode summary, it looks like Diane will be in this episode, and usually when you have Diane, you also have the ChesCat and Mark.

mini,
have you tried television without pity? i have read some of their stuff and it was pretty good from what i remember. if static cling posts, he should probably have the address.
as for tonight's show, very good stuff. the subplot with diane in the beauty pageant was kinda corny but the way they ended it with mark's doubts erased by diane was pretty good.
i loved the fight between the wheelchair guy (his name escapes me) and phil. that is a typical stuckeybowl moment.
now for the crux of the hour, that being ed and carol. i still say that when push comes to shove that eventually carol will realize that ed is right in just about everything he says. knowing ed, he won't give up. he may become more subtle but he won't give up because he knows without a shadow of a doubt that carol is for him. the shot of ed at the end sitting on the counter in stuckeybowl and the camera panning out was fanstastic.
now i am just wondering what next week will bring....

Good show tonight! Though I hope ending the show on a downer isn't going to become a trend. My guess is that Dennis will be the one to end up breaking it off with Carol.

I know it is considered a "dramedy", but I would like less drama and more comedy. JuryDuty, I completely agree with you on the ending, I hope it doesn't become a habit. Ed 'n Carol need to do their thing and Dennis is just a pain in the ass who is in the way.
by the way, I like the addition of Daryl "Chill" Mitchell as Eli, it is a shame that he was paralyzed last year...does anyone know if he is going to become a full time cast member? I am presuming that his character is replacing the character Kenny...

The She's All That episode. Ugh. But...
Diane: *sad look* "I'm not dating the fat kid. I'm dating you."
Oh, that was so good. Although the whole Diane-making-love-to-the-camera thing was so *ick*. It just surprised me that she'd completely go from non-demonstrative to demonstrative in one episode. I thought it was really cool that she was taking an interest in Mark's health, and it really surprised me that the show addressed it. They had a few missteps with saying the wrong thing once in a while... but such is life. They had a few too many in this ep, though.
Warren: *nervously* "... awkward..."
was also great.
I was beating the hell out of my futon when it took Carol half an hour to say that she was engaged to Dennis. "SAY IT ALREADY!" Ed may be right about the entire thing... but he's being a real barkin' ass about it.
Oh, and TWoP (which has excellent forums filled with fabulously witty people, by the way) needed to cut some costs, which meant cutting some shows from their recap roster. Sadly, one of those shows was Ed. Recaps from Seasons 1 & 2 are still stored there, though, and I'm even mentioned in one of them... wooooo!
minifigg, drop me a line if you want me to send you the episode... it's still on my TiVo.

I really wish they would get rid of Phil. He has been steadily getting more annoying with each passing show, ever since the start of the second season.
I thought that whole Diane storyline was pretty flat. And I fully expect for Carol to marry Dennis, and him to go back to the bottle or something like that. I don't really mind that Ed and Carol are being held apart, but I just wish it was by a likable character. It is also good that
, but BRING BACK RENA SOFER as well!

I found this episode painful. All of the Ed and Carol scenes are just so painful, and then the episodes ends, fade to commercial, and there we see Ed and Carol in a 2-person shot, so happy, in the "Stay tuned for the previews" bit before the credits/ads roll.

Yeah, it is kind of hard to watch. I miss the flirty (or at least not openly hostile) relationship they had before Jackass came into the picture. But now, Ed's being sort of a dick, Carol's being sort of... well, she's being Carol... I just want things to be happy again!

It is really scenes between Carol and Ed like last night that truly tell me they are not right for each other...at least not now. UGH, very painful indeed to watch. They don't seem to be able to get through to one another coherently and that makes for a bad mix. Ed has really shown himself to be out of control with some of his thinking and Dennis hasn't shown any sign that he disrepects Carol and won't treat her well. Ed is just going by his past and his wishful thinking. It was pretty horrifying not to think of them as friends once it was mentioned outloud...OI!

I liked her. She and Ed were good together.I really hope that they don't turn this season into one uncomfortable moment after another like in the bar when Carol has to tell Ed that she's engaged. But it was a good episode. It's nice to see Shirley getting some attention by the new guy.

Eli singing "My Shirley Amore" was great! And as for Warren and his "...awkward..." line --->
We can only assume that Dennis's "Jackass-ness" will become more prominent before the wedding. I hope so......
And Carol's line in the promo had me busting a gut:

I really don't consider that to be a spoiler, especially since it has been mentioned on a number of other shows, as well as previews. It was pretty much in mainstream media as well. I guess I will have to be more careful...

Good show, I don't like Principal Jackass, but this storyline is shaking things up, and I like that.
FYI, Rena Sofer is a regular on Just Shoot Me starting this season.

OK episode. They need to get back to the feel good, chicken noodle soup on a cold night type of show though.

Something I didn't understand from this episode (just watched it this weekend on my Tivo). At the end when Ed and Carol are discussing Ed's acceptance of Carol's engagement - did Ed accept it or was he saying goodbye??? "Good luck, Carol" could have meant goodbye and Carol saying "thank you" could have meant thank you for being honest. Actually it didn't even occur to me until later that Ed might've been saying good luck as a way of expressing acceptance. Did no one else interpret it this way?
