So, will "Hack" be as bad as EW says?

Did anyone see the "Hack" review in this week's Entertainment Weekly?

Although the gave the show a sarcastic A+++, the review read:

In a year full of bland new comedies, this show about a cabbie/ex-cop (David Morse) who solves crimes on the side is by far the funniest new offering of the season. And don't even try to tell me it's actually supposed to be a drama. That opening scene in which Morse beats up a trio of street toughs who are mugging one of his fares ("Somebody call a cab?...Well, you got one.")? Or the time when his estranged son insists on riding in the backseat, proclaiming "This is where you ride in a cab, isn't it?" We haven't had this much fun since Steven Seagal played a cook/Navy SEAL in Under Siege. Ladies and gentleman, the golden age of parody is upon us, and you can't convince me otherwise. A+++

I have 2 other shows I am planning to record tonight at 9 (That Was Then and John Doe) so this one might have to fall by the way-side.

Actually, Hack got a pretty good review in the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The show looks pretty good to me.

I have a feeling that the EW writer was just trying to be "cool," and impress everyone with such a sarcastic review. I've seen that before...

The show looks a lot better than some of the newer shows (Good Morning Miami, The In Laws, etc). Who wrote the review from EW? I am going to tape Hack and watch John Doe...

A show that is half Taxi and half The Equalizer. How could it possibly be bad.

It was in their "What to Watch" section so I guess whoever writes those.

I'm going to watch John Doe on Fox and then switch to CBS to watch Robbery Homicide Division. Hack looks interesting, but I don't want to skip John Doe to watch it.

I'm giving "Hack" a try just because of the interesting cast. I missed the premiere of "John Doe". . .and I don't like to join a show late.

I just got done watching it and, while it isn't a history maker, it's at least a somewhat new concept and I rather enjoyed it as entertainment. Scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it about a 6.

I haven't seen it just yet (I'll be hitting the tapes later)

For some strange reason Friday at 8PM seems to be really busy. Hack/John Doe/Reba + Welcome to Tuscon (hey now, stop laughing, I like these comedies, they're pleasant)

I wasn't expecting to watch Doe, but the premiere rocked....I really want Hack to be good, but if it sucks...then it'll free up one of the VCR's.

I tried watching it but for some reason I just couldn't get into it. I love the cast so I'll probably try again next week. Plus, I need something to watch between Firefly and Law & Order: SVU

I watched Firefly and John Doe last night, and taped Hack. I wish that I taped the Firefly and JD, since I couldn't devote my full attention to them, and they are both superior to Hack. I just watched Hack, and was pretty dissapointed. We are supposed to feel sympathy for a cop on the take, just because "everyone else does it"? I might watch one more, but I don't see myself watching it all season. I doubt that it will be around all season.

Bring back Gideon's Crossing, and give Andre Braugher a good show to act in again!
