Cosby Show Question
Last night I was watching an old episode on Nick, and Ruddy said something I'd totally forgotten about. She mentions Bud, but she pronounces it like Buuuuuud. What was the story of this character? Do we ever see him or is he just someone she talks about?
BTW, Adam Sanler was in this episode as one of Theo's friends. I laugh so hard whenever I see him. He's playing such a Brooklyn lunk head. F**kin' classic.

Bud was in a LOT of episodes!!

Only Rudy nicknamed him Bud.... everyone else called him by his real name, Kenny

(he was most recently seen in Van Wilder as the Cochran-ish lawyer and Not Another Teen Movie as the token "bling bling, that is whack!" guy)

I guess Rudy liked that name, because she also wrote a fairy tale about a dragon named Bud.
It was on the episode when the Huxtables had Cliff's father, Christopher Plummer, and Roscoe Lee Browne over for dinner and they spent the show spouting Shakespeare at each other. Quite possibly the single most pompous show ever broadcast.
Honk!

Also, I did a search and found a pretty good internet acronyms dictionary here:

Since we're asking our Cosby Show questions here, I've got one I've been wondering about. Does anyone know the significance of the button that Cosby wore in one of the later seasons? It was a small black button and I believe it said "SP" but I may be wrong. Anybody know what this was for?
