I vaguely remember a TV show where aliens come to Earth and threaten to destroy Earth if they are not given all of the African Americans on Earth. I seem to remember that the vice-president was African American and a close friend of the President. Does anybody know the name of this show? Any help would be appreciated.

I believe you are thinking of "Cosmic Slop". It was kind of a funky version of "The Twilight Zone" from 8 or 9 years back. In fact, it was hosted by George Clinton, how's that for funky?

The episode you mention starred Robert Guillaume. The aliens' spokesman took the form of Ronald Reagan and didn't threaten to destroy us, but offered us cures for all diseases if we would give them everyone with a certain amount of pigmentation in their skin (all blacks). To show their good faith, they transformed the Statue of Liberty into solid gold and made the water in NY harbor as blue as the Carribbean. The government asked the aliens what they wanted with all of our blacks, but the aliens told them not to worry about it, it was none of their business. If I remember correctly, Robert Guillaume's wife didn't have as much pigment in her skin as the rest of her family, so she was forced to stay as her husband and kids were taken. There was much chaos and martial law as the military forced all blacks to the spaceships. That's all I remember.
