No, the show was called "Maya the Bee" I have the theme song which clearly gives the title of Maya the Bee. Now having something to do with a pinwheel. I can't remember.

I now remember "Welcome Freshman". I loved this show! It seems that Nickelodeon was in it's prime in the early 90's and just went to hell after 1996. (It seems that way to me) Even the Nick Toons went to hell. Back in 1991 when the Nick Toons started we had Doug, Rugrats, & Ren & Stimpy. Then a few years later we got Rocko's Modern Life, which I loved. Then Ahhh! Real Monsters, which was still good. Then we got Angry Beavers, which was okay, I had nothing against it. Hey Arnold was okay, then they released all the crap we have now:

The Wild Thornberrys- Terrible Show!
Rocket Power- Pretty Crappy, but watchable
The New Episodes of Rugrats- Awful!
Butt Ugly Aliens- Stupid as Hell
Invader Zim- Boring

The only good Nick Toon they have on now is Spongebob Squarepants. When we lost Roundhoue I was quite upset, but then we got All That which was good until like a year ago when they got rid of the entire cast and got a new one. Plus The Amanda Show is the most stupid TV show ever, it's not funny.

Also does anyone remember the Nick Jr. Show:

Wasn't "Out of Control" with Dave Coulier (from Full house) on Nickelodeon?

I remember most of the shows you guys have listed. My favorites being "You Can't Do That On Television" and "Mr. Wizard". Mr Wizard was the coolest old guy on tv!!

These shows range from the 80s all the way into the 90s. I remember most of the shows that were around in the 80s.

Pinwheel (A freaky snail comes to mind.)
You Can't Do That on Television ("I don't know.")
Double Dare (Messy, messy, messy.)
Dangermouse (What the heck was that white worm-thingy?)
Out of Control (Kinda nutty show, but funny)

Most of the other stuff mentinoed I only vaguely know of. I guess I was getting older by the time those shows came on.

OK I'm going to go back a bit further in Nick's history for these two...these shows were probably mid-80's.

Turkey TV - a bunch of weird clips, ads, cartoons...all jumbled together into a 1/2 hour show.

Mad Movies - this was on Friday or Saturday night, and they would take an old b&w movie, cut it down to 1/2 hour and re-dub in new dialogue to completely change the plot.

Anyone else remember these?

FS

PS The chick that made the wierd noise was Diz...

Fourscore and many years ago
we're talking pre-TV
Thurman Turkey strolled along the shores to see what he could see...
I don't really remember the 1/2 hour version to well, because I had moved and the cable company only showed Nick during certain hours, and they weren't always the same hours.
But Turkey TV introduced me to Dana Carvey, Fish Heads, Julia Stepchild, and I got to see the You Can't Do That On Television kids other acting jobs. I still remember one President's Day an 8 hour marathon of Turkey TV, and we had just got a thing called a VCR. :sniffle: The memories.

I only watched it once in a whilel but I remember it. I think about 5 years ago FX did something like that too.

Okay how about Lancelot Link?

Yep, she was cute as hell too.

(I'm about the same age as Alanis, so it was okay for me to think she was cute in 1986)

Boy oh boy do I remember "You Can't Do That On Television".

"Iiiiiiii heard that!"

"Ready... aim..."

"Alaister, don't encourage your father."

"Danger Mouse" was good, but "Pete and Pete" was the coolest thing to come out of Nickelodeon. I wish I could watch it where I live...

I loved Mr. Wizard and You Can't Do that on Television! I remember most of those shows. I also loved The Noozles. It was about magical koalas that live in this girl's eucalyptus tree. It was pretty cool when I was younger.

I would throw in "The Third Eye" as another cool, creepy show.

LOVED "You Can't Do That On Television." One of my favorite shows growing up...
