Seldom seen Seinfeld episodes.

I usually try catch reruns of Seinfeld episodes every day and I seem to remember some episodes seem to not get played as much as others. One in particular I remember had scenes at a hospital where George had a great parking space near the front of the hospital. Later in the episode I think that a jumper lands on his car.

Am I imagining this, or are some episodes not shown with as much frequency as others? How exactly is the rerun rotation figured?

Is that the pig-man episode?

I rarely see this one as well.

Groucho 07-31-02 03:36 PM

If the Pigman had a car, he'd give you a ride!

I've seen it a million times myself.

PaperStreetSoapCo 07-31-02 03:38 PM

I thought they aired them in order chronologically. But it does seem like some episodes air more than others.

rfduncan 07-31-02 03:48 PM

That is the Pigman episode. I've seen it fairly regularly.

The one you WON'T see anymore is the one where Susan gets poisoned by the glue on the envelopes for her and George's wedding invitations... I saw this in the news recently - something about Anthrax etc....

Red Dog 07-31-02 04:00 PM

They never show the one where Kramer accidently burns the Puerto Rican flag.

Flay 07-31-02 05:17 PM

I've always wanted to see the one where George has a laser pointer on his head, but they never show it.

That was on my syndication just this past week. No lie.

Yup -- here too. Within the last 2 or 3 days, even.

Here, also.

Robert 07-31-02 10:17 PM

I keep missing the episode where the Mandelbaum family end up in the hospital because they injure their backs pick trying to pick up a television.

They showed that one in Houston about three days ago.

The one that I've only seen once (when it originally aired) is the pilot with no Elaine.

BizRodian 08-01-02 03:09 AM

It seems to me they keep showing the same twenty over and over and over and over. They skip large large portions, and never show any of the early episodes.

I only tune in once in a while.. but it always seems to be the same ones :( Maybe I just have bad luck.

I saw that one when the show first went into syndication, so they did re-air it at least once.

I think they pulled the "Puerto Rico" one, though.

TK-421 08-01-02 08:08 AM

I hope they recant that decision and re-air the Puerto Rican flag day episode.. That was one of the funniest episodes with Jerry, Kramer, and George all taking alternate personas..

Ah yes, I remember now. That's the same episode as the Puerto Rican day parade.

"That's gotta hurt!" - One of the funniest Seinfeld lines ever.

I believe the correct spelling is Dolores :), sorry I couldn't let it go. I never did get the part of the female body Dolores is supposed to rhyme with. Anyone?

That was a Lloyd Braun episode. There were a few great Lloyd Braun episodes. The one where he was selling computers in Frank Costanza's garage was another classic.

SERENITY NOW!

Mr.Costanza: Looks like we need to depend on you son, for the orders.

George: What about Lloyd Braun's orders? He had alot.

Mr.Costanza: The crazy bastard just liked ringing the bell, his phone wasn't even plugged in.

George: Oh no! Here comes mom!

Mr.Costanza:No! Hoochie mama! Hooochie Mama!

This is the only Seinfeld episode that has only aired once (on original airdate). Thankfully, I have it on tape! Mwa ha ha ha ha!

SirPablo 08-02-02 09:28 AM

I've seen that one several times, though not really recently.

Never seen the Pigman episode to my knowledge.

Only saw the laser-pointer/Puerto Rican flag episode downloaded on my PC. It was weird.

Liver&Onions 08-02-02 11:12 AM

What where the three names? Pennypacker, Valdelay and...

According to today's Chicago Sun-Times: "Saturday, August 3rd, 6:30pm: "Seinfeld" The parade episode that got NBC, Jerry and the crew in trouble with Puerto Ricans is scheduled to be rerun, unless somebody gets cold feet between now and then."

I don't know if other local affiliates are planning on running this episode, but it looks like Chicago will repeat it Saturday.

Varnsen... Kel Varnsen.

Jerry - Kel Varnsen
George - Art Vandelay
Kramer - HE Pennypacker

(ripped from a google cache of the script)

Now that you know the answr, you're not feeling so "Suave," are you "Rico"?

mullivan 08-02-02 02:22 PM

Another one that isn't shown often is when Jerry and George use someone's limo from the airport and it turns out people think George is a white suppremisist leader. It's my least favorite episode ever (a bit too serious).

chanster 08-02-02 02:58 PM

I have seen the O'Ryan (White Supremist) Episode at least 10 times on syndication. It is one of the most replayed, IMHO.

Um, I think it's "O'Brian", not "O'Ryan".

Mopower 08-02-02 09:32 PM

Wasn't Loyd Braun played by two different actors. The first one with Loyd working for the Mayors office takes Elaines idea for everyone in NY to wear name tags and gets fired because of it. Then the one with the George and his Dad selling computers and the one with the old theatre were Jerry wears glasses so Loyd wouldn't think he was crazy, had a different Loyd Braun. Am I right or am I confused?

You are not confused. Another character that was played by two different actors was George's father. In The Handicapped Spot (otherwise known as The PigMan Episode) George's dad was played by someone other than Jerry Stiller. When the show went into syndication they reshot the few scenes with Jerry to have more continuity in the series.

I hope when the eventual dvd's come out they have both versions to view otherwise it'd be another reason to keep all my tapes.
