Scrubs - I just started watching it
Been catching up on summer re-runs and i can't believe i didn't watch this show more during the season. well, it was competing with smallville AND 24. but i'm sure glad they're doing re-runs. this is bar-none the funniest sitcom i've seen in awhile. i don't even laugh this hard during friends. in fact, other than futurama, there are no other shows that i laugh out loud at when i watch by myself. it helps that i'm also in residency. i can relate...a LOT. you THINK the show's an exaggeration. it's not, except it's not as funny in real life.
what are some of the funniest lines you remember from the show? here's a few that make me laugh just thinking about them. i've only watched a few, but most of the funniest ones come from dr. cox. the guy is frickin hilarious -
"it puts the lotion on its skin! it puts the iodine lotion on its skin!"
"help me to help you, barbie! help me to help you, help me to help you, help me to help you, help me to help you, help me to help you!"
"bom bada bom bada bom bada bom shiny scapel...bom bada bom bada bom gonna cut cut cut cut cut him up"

That's hilarious... okay, not really... that the show is so close to real-life. I don't recall any great lines in particular (except the Silence of the Lambs reference... ha!), but I did like the episodes w/ Brendan Fraser guest-starring as Dr. Dorian's (John McGinley) buddy with a REALLY pretty actress who was his character's sister. I was concerned at first that the characters were too one sided... Dr. Dorian especially... but those two episodes fleshed out Dorian REALLY well, and not in a cheesy way, either.
I, too, didn't catch the show much because of its conflicts with 24... and now, The Mole ... but I'm glad NBC is showing it twice a week over the summer (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

My wife and I have been watching it this summer too. One of my favorite shows on right now.
Static-the pretty actress was Christa Miller from "The Drew Carey Show," FYI.
Another great line from the rerun on Tuesday. The guy that plays Stuart on "MadTV" was on as a patient who apparently goes to the hospital alot. He said a woman pushed him off the bus, totally unprovoked. The nurse looked doubtful, and he said:
"Well, I may have told her she smelled like wet ass."
It was hilarious and totally in the delivery

Turk made a great comeback at the end of that episode with a little rendition of Sunshine and Rain while performing a surgery.

This show is amazing in how it can pack so much ironic comedy and human pathos in a 30 minute show. Even the way the characters' relationship show growth from episode to episode is well written in how they relate to one another.

I've been doing the same thing this summer. I always wanted to watch Scrubs during the season but always seemed to miss it. I've still missed a couple due to The Mole. But I'm certainly glad NBC is putting this show on Thursday nights next season. I won't miss it.
I can't remember many great lines but a couple are:
J.D.: "I had a guy who thought there was blood in his stool but it turned out to be a pimento.".
[Elliot sucks a pimento out of an olive]
Elliot: "What, I had a guy vomit up an entire mitten, it doesn't mean I'm going to stop wearing them when it's cold,".

Once again, Cox comes up with the monologue of the night.
"Look newbie, just because you have a new girlfriend doesn't mean the world suddenly turned into a giant green M&M. The Red Sox still suck, they do...[imitating J.D.'s mom] Now you've GOT to wake up sweetheart. You're gonna be late for schoo...aw you wet the bed...[sobbing] why can't I have a normal child without these problems..."
ROTFLMAO!!!
BTW, if you watched tonight's rerun, who plays Alex, the social worker?!! She is HOTTTTTTT!!! Hope it wasn't the season finale. I wanna see what happens with newbie and barbie next....
One more great line from tonight -
"...Cause I can't go without you. You're my little peeee buddy..."

Does not compute. Does not compute.

I love this show, though it got shoved off my VCR list because of too much competition on Tuesday nights, so I'm catching up on the episodes I haven't seen.
Last night's episode was really entertaining, from Kelso and Carla car pooling, J.D. and the social worker almost hooking up, J.D. and the janitor betting on whether J.D. would be hooking up, J.D. and Elliot being on the outs and then the ins, Turk and Dr. Cox with their synchronized urination schedules, and the love triangle between Turk, Dr. Cox and Karla. All of this in 22 minutes!

My favorite line is when Dr Cox is golfing with the head Dr. (forgot his name - I watched the whole season, but not the reruns). The head Dr. tees off and Dr. Cox says:
"Niiiiiiiicce distance! Tell me, does your husband play golf too?"
Easily the best comedy, IMO, since Action. I hope it doesn't suffer the same fate

I've been watching since the beginning. Best sitcom on TV right now, if you ask me. I'm glad to see more people here picking it up. Last season I started 4-5 threads after Scrubs aired and no one seemed to care.

definitely my favorite show right now. dr. cox's sarcasm reminds me of my attending. but like others have said i still laugh at it the second time i see it. with all the more serious medical shows around recently, it is a good change of pace, imo.

I saw last night's episode and I'm hooked next season. As a Heavy Metal fan from the late 80s to early 90s, I was ROTFL at that mellowed-out-2-part-harmony rendition of Poison's "Talk Dirty To Me"...LOL!
