South Park 7\3

I haven't laughed so much in such a long time, namely when the Father begins his "trials" to find the holy document! "Oh! There's a ladder!"

Chef: "Hello children!"
Kids: "Chef, what would a priest want to put in our butts?"
Chef: "Goodbye!"

This might me the best South Park I've ever seen. And the "Pitfall" thing was great. Where the hell do they get this stuff?

Also have to say that watching Martha Stewart preparing and...ahem...eating a turkey was timely and priceless.

I didn't think it was as "laugh out loud" funny as last week, but it was still great! I loved the parallel with people crapping out of their mouth and ranting about religion.

"Cartman, that's the dumbest thing you've EVER said this week!"

Sea monkeys were laugh out loud funny... this episode had its moments... but wasn't over the to hysterical to me.

Did you notice how the alien priests looked like large green vaginas?

Three foot vaginas with razor sharp spikes in them? Yeah, kinda like a venus fly-trap looking thing

Before the big spider came out, I was really hoping for another cameo from God.

I love South Park. I can't remember the last time I disagreed with their stance on an issue.

I don't remember the part about the giant spider in the Bible though. Maybe it was in Revelations or something.

If there's a bad Pitfall Harry joke, I haven't heard it.

Loved the pitfall bit... thought the rest of the episode was pretty mediocre. But it's probably because coming off of the Sea Men episode last week, this one couldn't have come close.

The Sea Men episode is #2 in my book of all South Park, right behind the Osama one.

Oh yeah... and can't wait for this week's!!

The giant spider reminded me of the
Spoiler:
T.V. mini series of Stephen King's "It".
I remember watching that and saying out loud, "it'a a damn spider?"

Was the spider thing a parody from a movie, or something?

The Spider was a device to show that the Vatican has completely left Earth with it's Church Law and no longer speaks of anything that relates to people today.

I don't think you needed to spoiler tag that... and I agree that that has to be the reference. Too bad they couldn't "Tim Curry-ize" the voice a little.

Just saw the episode - it was, as was expected, very funny and very intelligent. And I'm proud to say that I got the "pooping out of your mouth" joke before the punchline at the end. At first I thought it was just another juvenile yet damn funny gag (no pun intended ), but when the parents were having their Atheists Club meeting and started talking about the whole "One Nation Under God" debacle I realized what Stone and Parker where trying to say, and I completely agree: people who are condemning the use of the aforementioned phrase are just full of sh*t. (And I'm not American, by the way.)
