Well, both of the shows were way before my time, but I'll go with Twilight Zone. I haven't seen many episode but the ones I have seen were pretty good.

The episode with Burgess Meredeth where
Spoiler:
He lost his glasses, and couldn't read his books
is one of the greatest episodes of any TV show EVER!

The original Twilight Zone is it for me. Best writing of just about any show before or since.

I can't beleive 4 people already voted that they did not like either.

I'll go with TZ too

After some of the things I've read at this forum in the past, I'm unfortunately not surprised

Seems like there's interest in this topic again, so I re-opened the poll and I'm bumping this to the top. Edited thread title for clarity, too.

Twilight Zone has always been in my top 5 shows of all time. The episodes still hold up after all this time.

Well from looking at the poll, I can see why the Zoners
got the shaft on how the dvd's were released.
While the outer limits fans get the break on a whole
season one box set. Which looks like it will be affordable too.
Doesn't seem very fair to the Zoners though.
Having all those cases & cases & cases of episodes.
There must be around 40 or so volumes now,
at $10 a pop or more. Might make anyone a fan of the
outer limits.

Just watched a couple episodes of TZ last night on SCI-FI......

The Monsters Are Coming To Maple Street
Next Stop Willoughby or whatever the name is.....

Twilight Zone has been a favorite of mine for years.

Outer Limits is good but I prefer The Twilight Zone.

Twilight zone for the simple fact of rod serling, the man was great. the stories are amazing, they don't need to relay on any big CGI for the horror, shock and emotion you get with them.

they are amazing. simply amazing

Twilight Zone was kinda made on a modest budget, I think because it relied on the humand condition and story rather than special effects. Some of TZ's episodes are simply incredible.

Outer Limits was written by Science Fiction writers addicted to crack. The stories are so far out there that I'm not even sure that the writers got them. The Outer Limits stories seemed to rely on strange stories with crazy effects.

TZ = Great drama with some interesting science fiction

TOL = Science fiction from the planet Zoog
