Where is there a decent Star Trek BBS?

Sure I could chat Trek here - but the same 3 people always respond. I need a little more variety, not to mention some more up-to-date rumors and gossip from the con-circuit.

TrekWeb used to have a decent BBS, but it's been moved to a server that's interminably slow and all the categories were merged into one free-for-all that's incredibly difficult to maneuver through. Shatner.com has almost zero to do with Trek. Same with WilWheaton.com. Startrek.com is about as fun as starwars.com - with the die-hards closing ranks like Catholic priests on these recent sex scandals. Dare you say an unkind word about the latest "Enterprise" installment and banished from their digital kingdom forever will you be. And I hate Usenet - so that's right out.

Anybody have some other suggestions?

I've never found much out there that I liked. I'm a fan, but I'm not so crazed as to discuss the fact that Data had a hair out of place in episode 230. I would just like a place to maybe discuss the latest episode and what I liked or disliked about it. Good luck in finding anything, I sure couldn't.

The Trek BBS is the biggest message board on the internet.

www.trekbbs.com

It's not bad and there's sections for every series, as well as sci-fi in general, literature, games, etc. I moved to them once Trekweb went to crap.

Yeah, a big thanks to you Matt.

I've stumbled across that message board in the past, but didn't save the bookmark when I moved to my new computer.

I find that that's the case with most boards. But I haven't had any problems with the trekbbs. They usually just give warnings and ban the members occasionally. There isn't much else you can do when the person can just make another sn.

When I was there they didn't ban members, just gave them warnings and temp bans.

Good forums I've been to have banned the ips of bad trolls, and contacted their ISP if they continued to get in.
