Odyssey 5 premiere tonight on Showtime

Anyone looking forward to this new Showtime series? It stars Peter Weller and from what I've heard, it's about a group of astronauts who witness the destruction of Earth from space. They then go back in time 5 years to figure out why it happened.

Sounds awesome!

A space shuttle, time-travel "sciffy" series starring Peter Weller?

Im looking forward to it. It got a 3 star review in the paper here today. Plus it completes a nice sci-fi friday lineup

9-Stargate-Sci-Fi
10-Odyssey 5-Showtime
10:45-Jeremiah-Showtime
11:30-Little half hour break
12-Farscape-Scifi(Replay of the show from 10)

Finally a full night of sci-fi.

Oh, come on. With sci-fi classics such as Buckaroo Banzai..., Robocop and Naked Lunch, how can you diss Peter Weller? Ok, I'll admit that Screamers was a joke though.

I watched the replay last night. It started out okay, but then I felt like I was watching X-Files, but with a bigger crew who were allowed to cuss a lot and bop a few bunnies (nice bonus to see Katia Corriveau in the movie). The redhead is cute (Andrea?). The premise is a bit goofy though.

That's just about what I felt too: X-Files. I doubt my interest is going to be kept for very long.

I enjoyed the two-hour premiere. Comparing it to The X-Files is pretty easy, but I thought it also had a lot to do with "Encounter At Farpoint" ... and the whole "Q" schtick of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I plan to keep watching as Showtime isn't likely to yank the cord on it like the networks.
