What's with Harrison Ford?

He seemed a little stiff on Letterman. For all of his on-screen charisma, he certainly didn't seem to be very personable on the big show.

He was just like that last time on Dave, except he wasn't as funny last time.

I think that's just his regular persona - not really an act of any sort.

That was just painful to watch. Oil and water.

Ford has always been stiff. He went to the Woody woodpecker school of acting.

That is the only way I've seen him on talk shows too. Very unlike his screen persona.

He's a stoner. I thought that was common knowledge.

I thought so as well. He's been known as a major pot-head for years.

Honk!

The only interview I've ever seen him come off as you might expect him to was one done at his house in the Tetons, I forget who interviewed him. I expect he had spent some time beforehand in his own 'green room.'

After seeing him on Dave I'm wondering if he's taking over Sean Connery's character for the next Indiana Jones movie. If not, they'd bet stock up on Grecian Formula.

He is usually stiff. He might throw in an occasionally obscure joke in his interviews though.

Happy Harry is very stiff during interviews for a couple of reasons: first, he's actually very shy and second, he hates doing interviews.

But they come with the movie star job, so he has to do them.

Michelle Pfeiffer was hilarious in her interview after What Lies Beneath came out. When asked about Harrison Ford, she said, "Oh, he's too boring for me."

He only does interviews because he gets paid for them.

Totally serious

It's such common knowledge around the biz that others are PO'd he doesn't "come out" so they're outing him. Here's a story that made headlines a while back:

Bill Maher, host of the television show Politically Incorrect, told attendees at the NORML conference that it's time Harrison Ford and Ted Turner stood up and acknowledged their cannabis use. Spokespersons for Ford and Turner did not return calls seeking comment on Maher's statement.

I just watched the rerun of Harrison Ford on Conan O'Brien. It was one of the funniest interviews I have ever seen. Ford has only been on Conan twice and both times hes acted this way. Laid back and silly. Whenever Ford is on either Letterman or Leno, he seems like he doesnt want to be there. Can you blame him? They both suck! I wonder if Ford will ever do Craig Kilborn. Does anyone have a video clip of the Conan/Ford interview?

btw, Ford said he'd love to work with either the Farrelly or Coen Brothers. How much would that kick ass if it really happened!

On leno and letterman it looks like he hates it.

If anyone wants to see him laid back, look at his interview with Conan, that thing was so god damn funny. he looked like he had a blast there. might be the interviewer since Conan is much more of a comical fella and flows the interview better. great great interview

I just saw this off my Tivo also. It was a great interview. Ford was goofy and cracking jokes.

ie: He toked up beforehand. When he's stiff and shy, he's sober.

Sarah Silverman was on Leno last night......whom I normally love and always kills on Conan...I felt so sorry for her.

She just couldn't get into her groove and the audience had no idea that the joke had come and gone. Damn that Leno!!!

(and this from a Leno fan)

Maybe he should smoke some grass just before coming on set during a movie shoot. He's an atrocious actor, a ham's ham, right up (down) there with Costner.
