The Dead Zone

Anyone watch Sunday night's premiere of The Dead Zone, starring Anthony Michael Hall, on the USA network? Nothing special thus far, but I'll continue to give it a chance and see what happens.

Yeah, I watched it. Not bad. I never read Stephen King's book or saw the original movie, so I don't really have much to compare the show to.

Anthony Michael Hall was pretty good and I thought they pulled off his visions really well.

One complaint I have is that it seemed to be edited really choppy. I think they need to slow down the pace of the show a little bit to let everything sink it.

Most TV shows' series premires aren't all that great so I'll give the show a while to get going.

Reminded me of The Pretender a bit too much. The ex-gf is a hottie, so I will watch next week

I really enjoyed it. Anthony Michael Hall did an especially good job. I've never read the King book, so I have no basis for comparison (and no preconceived notions, either). I'll definitely keep watching.

Not a bad show. I'll tune in and see how it goes.

Same here. I liked it, I wasn't so sure I was going to watch it, but I decided to anyway, and I really enjoyed it, I'll be sure to watch the nest few episodes to see if it keeps it up.

Nicole DeBoer in the cast doesn't hurt my chances of watching it again either.

I can't really judge the shows story right now since at this point they're taking what's already been done in the book and movie and either tweaking or adding to it. Once the show goes to areas that haen't been done, then I'll be able to evaluate it completely.
I liked the characters. Even though I liked Walken in the movie, to me he was just a creepy guy, while Hall's Johnny is someone I like and could "care" about. I just hope he doesn't become to much of a do gooder.
One thing I didn't like was how/when USA when to commercial. They seem to put you into mini-cliff hangers, or something. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but it reminded me of Stephen King's mini-series'.

Good show so far. Now let's see if they can stretch it into a regular series. I hope AMH doesn't try to recreate Chris Walken's classic delivery of "The ICE is gonna BREAK!"

Honk!

I enjoyed what I saw. It's nice to see Anthony Hall acting again. He did a great job. I'm sure it'll get better as time goes along.

I did find the scene where David Ogden Stiers let him sip his beer and told him "You're a man now, Russ" a little odd.

I enjoyed it and look forward to future episodes. The cool thing was that I knew nothing about it before hand, and stumbled into the premiere. We were at my mother-in-law's house, and she was watching it. I'm a sucker for shows like this.
