Am I the only one who LIKED the last episode of Voyager?? The one thing I didn't like was how Chakotay and Seven were all of a sudden together. It seemed like the end of the series was rushed a little. Besides that it was and action packed and interesting story. Just my 2 cents...

I have to admit, I liked Year of Hell. Thats the way should have been. The ship getting ripped up and people fighting and stuff.
Liked one from the first season when Torres was split in two also.

I agree!! According to posts here it violated the prime directive but unlike most of the Voyager series, the last 2 hours were highly entertaining.

It didn't violate the prime directive. But it did violate all unwritten laws of human decency and pissed in the face of 35 years of intelligent analysis of the human condition. Had there been a reason for this, like to make a bold statement and revolutionize the franchise, I would have no problem with the departure. But there was no thought behind this. Any idiot could have written that episode. I guess it depends on why you watch the show. If you're into intelligent science fiction, the show was unbearable. If you want action sequences and explosions, then I guess it was entertaining. They sure did blow up a lot of Borg when they were murdered by Janeway. Good thing we wasted all that time getting to know characters like Hugh and Seven and everyone at Unimatrix Zero, so at the end of the series, we could be treated to some blind hatred and senseless slaughter from someone who should know better. The episode works fine if she's Court Martialled for her actions, but it was clear that she's supposed to be applauded for them. I guess I'm not ready to applaud going back in time to selfishly change the past for your own motives and while there, murdering millions of sentient beings with technology your brought from the future. Others may disagree.

P.S. I too enjoyed 'Year of Hell'

Turns out she got a promotion. Picard will be reporting to her in Star Trek Nemesis.

My opinion is I loved the first show, TNG- was very good, and DSN- boring. I like Star Trek 5, too. Go ahead and flame. I dont go to conventions, either. I am not a sci-fi guy , I just like good entertainment. Often I do not give sci-fi a chance because I watch 2-3 episodes of a series and if I dont like it , I stop watching.

So I originally thought Voyager would recapture some of what I liked about the first 2 series. Instead it was like "were just trying to go home" every episode and after watching the first season I stopped watching. So I was familar with the characters, and my brother suggested I watch the Voyager finale, because it was not like the floundering first season.

I did not have much invested in the characters, so I thought having Janeway travel through time , fun and entertaining for 2 hours. Her former crew had problems and she used time travel as a way to solve them. Instead of boring me for 2 hours like the X-files finale, this was an interesting way to go. Has it been done before? Of course. I watched the show last spring and I dont remeber too many explosions from that episode.

I agee, the finale to Voyager was a lot better than the X-files mess and it was more entertaining, all plot problems aside, than most of the 7 years of Voyager.

I hated the following final episodes:

MASH - I hated the fact that they made Hawkeye go crazy in the end. I was very disappointed.

Roseanne - I off and on watched the final season about them winning the lotto. It really sucked, but it sucked even worse when they made it all fantasy by Roseanne writing a book after John Goodmans heart attack.

The final episode of Beavis and Butthead was a big disappointment, but a lousy clips show would be a poor final episode for just about any series.

I hope cooper2000 is kidding about Janeway, but I doubt he is.

cooper2000 06-27-02 09:42 AM

Kidding about Janeway being an Admiral? No, Kate Mulgrew will be in a scene giving Picard his orders.

...segway.....

Anyone see the Trek movie preview that premiered online last night?

devilpants 06-29-02 08:35 PM

As much as I love The Prisoner I thought the last episode was so pretentious and unfocused. I can't even watch it. I'm too lazy to type in the spoiler of who No. 1 really was, but I thought it was a cop-out.

joefrog91 07-02-02 01:33 PM

I think the worst final episode was for St. Elsewhere. The whole series was just the imagination of an autistic child. Dr. Westphall is really a construction worker and Dr. Auschlander is his father. I couldn't believe it when I saw this.

BernieStolar 07-02-02 05:39 PM

the worst is Full house. Michelle gets amnesia then magically remembers her loveable tanner family at the end. Such Drivel, Id expect more from Bob Saget.
