What is Your Favorite FINAL Episode of a TV Show?

Mine are:

Family Ties
Cheers
The Cosby Show
Full House

Not really a final episode but the episode of All in the Family when Gloria & Mike leave for California.

The Fugitive(60's).When Lt. Gerard shakes Richard Kimball's hand at the end-had to be one of the strangest moments in tv history.

Rogue588 06-09-02 10:32 PM

Twin Peaks.

"How's Annie?"

Bcolon 06-09-02 10:35 PM

Star Trek The Next Generation

I liked the M*A*S*H finale, though I know lots of people didn't.

What happened in the final episode of Full House? btw, the Cosby Show's ending was terrible.

Not the X-Files! A total let-down to all the true fans. It put everything into perspective for the casual watcher, but did nothing for the people that watched it for 9 years without missing an episode. Oh well.. hopefully the next movie will be redeeming.

I can't think of my favorite final episode on a series. Usually FOX cancels my favorite shows without the curteousy of a series finale. :(

Aw, no fair. Rogue588 took mine.

I'd also have to second the final episode of "Babylon 5".

"It's a wonderful day for a drive."

MASH

"Cheers" eventhough it was somewhat dominated by Frasier. Still , a brilliant finale.

Can I have some confirmation that it is Jim Valvano (former coach of the N.C. State Basketball team) who comes to the door at the very end? I always thought it was, but have never heard for sure.

Once and Again. With the actors doing the black-and-white-talking-to-the-audience-thing as themselves instead of as their characters.

Cheers and The Wonder Years

Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Babylon 5s final episodes are about equal to me as favorites. Both bring tears to my eyes every time I watch them since I didn't want either series to end. But both were very fitting endings to each series.

Roseanne (wasn't bad at all)
News Radio (funny but it was a nice way to leave the show)
Dinosaurs is my favourite ending for a show because it gave a nice but sad ending of what the dinosaurs supposibly died from, an ice age. (not created by dinosaurs though.)But brings up that we aren't too far away from a cold death either if we have a few nuclear wars ouselves.

Gargoyles - perfect ending for the series. Loved the Goliath voice over.

boobietheclown 06-14-02 11:59 AM

Seinfeld!

Caoimhin 06-14-02 04:11 PM

The Nanny - Any final episode that means Fran Drescher won't be on television is the best final show EVER!
