How should I watch Farscape?

How should I watch Farscape?
For all you veteran Farscape viewers out there - I'm trying to catch up on previous episodes from the beginning before I start watching S4. However, the DVD releases are organized according to the production schedule, not the airing schedule.
Does it make more sense to watch them that way, or should I watch them in the order that they aired?

It really won't matter too much for season 1, but you should definitely watch season 2 in order of air date. Season 3 was produced in order, so you have nothing to worry about there.
As a general rule, I would always recommend watching a show in order of air date. Only in rare circumstances, like that crap TNT pulled with Crusade, is it beneficial to watch in some other order; and even then, it's usually some creator-defined order, and not simply the order of production.
Anyway, welcome. You'll quickly find that Farscape is the best science fiction show on television right now, and you'll probably become as addicted to it as the rest of us.
