The Shield Season Finale
can't believe a thread hasn't been started yet, I thought the finale was the best episode yet. This is really a terrific show, the first episode was really good, some of the episodes after that were kind of weak, the one with the basketball player sticks out. But towards the end of the season they really fond thier rythym. Then end this episode was really well done, I think that was the first time we say weakness in Macky. Anyone know when the 2nd season starts, hope we don''t have to wait a whole year.

Great episode...nice cap to the entire season which has really been about chronicling the tragic fall of Vic Mackey. A lot of great story arcs, but not surprisingly his is the best, and not completely realized unless you've watched all of the episodes in order. It'll be interesting to see how things work next season.
I believe next season doesn't start until January.

Damn_good finale capping off a damn_good season. Not unlike Alias, The Shield hit you head-on in the first episode, kept the pace and quality throughout the full season, and finished with authority. I hope the success it's seen will inspire more quality television on the smaller cable properties of the larger networks.

I'm still waiting for Vic to get a head injury that affects his personality... tones him down a lot.
Subsequently, his new attitude earns him a promotion...
...and we learn that all along, this was a prequel to The Commish
Oops, I just spoiled season 2

I thought the episode was great, although Vic dropping to his knees at the end was a little too much.
