Sydney's mystery mom? Alias: Lena Olin
Who is Sydney Bristow's mother? Next season, film actress Lena Olin will fill the secret-agent/mom role on ABC spy drama Alias. The identity of Sydney's (Jennifer Garner) mother served as the cliffhanger of the show's first-season finale. Olin, who has signed on for 16 episodes, is best known for movie roles in The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Enemies: A Love Story.
