Tough Enough 5/30

[simpsons comic book guy] Worst decision ever! [/simpsons comic book guy]

C'mon on now!! What the hell were they thinking?!?! Jake should have on, why the hell 2 girls??? They barely get any air time. Look at nidia, she won last years and where is she now, NOWHERE!!!! I would have love to see jake wrestle the other guys. F**K tough enough!!!!!

[comic book guy]biggest screw-job ever.[comic book guy]

I can see it now- "mom, I just won TE2. Now I can be just like Nidia and have to work at 7-11 to get the bills paid. But atleast I'm a professional wrestler now."

I wasted 30 minutes of my life every week. That decision was ridiculous. If they don't choose Jake and Kenny to be on the next season then I'm done watching. This decision ruined Tough Enough for me. Jake and Kenny were far superior to both those girls.

My choice would have been one male and one female:

-Jake - Mainly because of his size...but Kenny definitely had more energy in the ring

-Linda - Jackie's knee would have been too much of a liability

I guess the dumb decisions keep on rolling for the WWE.

Jake and Kenny were ROBBED! Although if they had picked 1 guy and 1 girl Jake would of won.
In the promos throughout the season for Tough Enough didn't they always say 1 guy and 1 girl? If so couldn't someone sue? They probably had to sign releases that they couldn't sue for anything.
Linda was they only correct choice they made.

Something tells me there is more to this than meets the eye.. interesting how Chris Harvard was there getting some screen time....

... there was some talk of a 'Renegade' TE stable forming (one of the guys from this season, Matt (the BIG DUDE) already has a devlopment contract, even tho he droppped out early...

I get a feeling you might be seeing a rather pissed off group showing up soon.. Jake-Chris-Josh-Kenny (and probably Taylor and Annie) to 'even the score'

Yeah, that's what I thought.

And what ever happened to Nidia, by the way? What has she been doing all this time? (Haven't been watching wrestling as much as I used to, so I may have missed her if she's been on Raw or Smackdown.)

That was pathetic. I couldn't believe it. Jake and Kenny were screwed up the @$$! Jake's expression after Jackie's name was read said it all. "Jackie?!?" and he had a puzzled, pissed off face. That was stupid of the WW"E". I hope this isn't the last time we hear from Jake and Kenny. After this, they BOTH deserve to be signed!

Actucally Nidia hasn't completely dropped of the face of the earth. She's been wrestling for (OVW) Ohio Valley Wrestling run by Jim Cornette. Its a small minor league group. I hear its pretty good. Its were Randy Orton,Ricco and Devon Dudleys sidekick came from.

Heres there website.Look at the superstar profiles for Nidia.

This was a total dissapointment. I really wanted Linda to win and was glad she did but when i heard that the other chic won too, i was like What! I was pulling for Jake and he got totally screwed. I also heard in all the promos them saying it was 1 guy and 1 girl, what gives? Anyway, this just totally messed up the show for me. I aint never watching that crap again. Screw Tough Enough!

I agree with all of you, that was pretty messed up. I was pulling for Jake and this final episode ruined the show for me.
Oh well.

Don't know about the promos, but a couple of times (may have been early on) they were VERY specific that it would be two PEOPLE (or two contracts, whatever). Point is, they specifically mentioned that it could be two guys or two girls or a guy and a girl.

And Chris may have been shown because he signed a minor league deal a short time ago......

When Al Snow interviewed Chris, he made it a point of mentioning that he now had a developmental contract with the WWE. Stupid move on their part. Yet another in a steady stream of idiotic choices by the WWE.

I also agree that Jake should have won and I damn sure will not be purchasing this season on DVD if/when it is released.

Stupid why? Because he won't make a good wrestler, or because it's cheap of them to let him in the WWE when he didn't win the show in the first place?

What happened to getting a contract w/ the WWE? I thought that's what she was supposed to get for winning--a one year contract?! Not to bash the OVW or anything, but ...

She has the contract but some wrestlers get sent OVW for more seasoning. Actually I'm surprised Maven is getting pushed so soon. I though they'd keep all the Tough Enough winners in the minors they were ready to call them up.

I have no problem with someone who didn't win getting another shot at making it in the WWE. Especially people like Taylor and Josh from last season and Jake and Kenny from this season. My problem is with Chris himself. He is a complete a**hole and has no respect for those around him. Last season when the finalists were interviewed by Vince himself, VInce asked him how he felt about the other contestants. ANd he said that they were not the type of people that he would associate himself outside of the show. It was the way he said it as if he was better than everybody else and seeing that he went to Harvard, I can see where he gets his attitude from. I just wonder why he was even there in the first place.

I think Maven got his shot so early because, to steal from Triple H, "He is that damn good!" Maven is a quick learner and the fans love him. He personifies what the WWE was and is trying to get back to. As for Nidia, I wonder if they realized that they made a mistake choosing her. I mean come on! They picked a stripper over Taylor who wanted and craved to be in the WWE. I believe that Taylor was the better of the two and had proved it time and time again. They say the trainers pick the winners, but I think Vince had a hand in picking Nidia. And I can't beleive she has already done a Divas photo shoot.

Maybe they thought that these guys could not cut it, so they took the easy way out.

For those who missed the announcement, Maven is out with an injury which happened during his match with Christian on Smackdown.

http://www.prowrestlingtorch.com/cgi...20020530_18241

Maven attempted a baseball slide dropkick and when his foot landed and stayed planted while the rest of his body kept going. it broke his shin bone.

This was definitely a decision that was made just to show how "anything can happen in the WWE" as opposed to Linda and Jackie both actually deserving the contracts more than Jake and Kenny. It disappoints me, because I thought that the decisions would be made solely upon skill, with no politics involved. This may affect whether I watch TE3 or not.

When Jake heard Jackie's name announced, for a split second he thought it was his name and started to get up from his chair.

Honk!

that was kind of amusing

I was disappointed to see Linda, but thrilled for Jackie! The WWE could always use more females. But I wouldnt tune in to see Linda. I was glad Kenny didnt win, but his last match with the trainer WAS awesome. September cant come soon enough.

This is what makes it obvious that it was planned months ago to select two females, regardless. All that training meant absolutely nothing, since it was already decided.

We should keep a running count on how often Jackie cries on television, it should be at least twenty times by now.

Honk!

NOT AT ALL

The fact is that they took away the 1 ma;e/1 female rule because of what happened last year.

They did NOT want Nidia, but they HAD to pick a woman... and of the 2 finalists, who both sucked, Nidia sucked less (but still sucked).

The WWE wished they could have taken Maven AND Josh/Chris Harvard but the 1M/1F rule prevented that.

But then that doesn't explain the decision from LAST NIGHT!

There is NO WAY you can argue Linda/Jackie were the BEST two.
