I actually really enjoyed "I Am Furious Yellow" (Bart draws Angry Dad), "The Sweetest Apu" (Apu gets caught having an affair) and "Little Girl in the Big Ten" (Lisa poses as a college student - good episode even though it featured LISA).
Granted the majority of the rest of the season really kinda stunk but these last three had me laughing - lots of decent one-liners.
"Papa's Got a Brand New Badge" looks promising. It'll either rule or totally stink. I love Joe Mantegna as Fat Tony.
Homer: "You mean you the mob only did me a favor to get something in return? Oh, Fat Tony! I will say good day to you, sir!"

The last GREAT episode of "The Simpsons" was the episode where Marge & Homer were having sex all over Springfield.
A naked, dangling Homer & the church made entirely of glass
Funny, funny sh*t.

I think there were two episodes this year that really stood out.
The one where Homer gets on medicinal marijuana. And the one where Apu cheats on his wife.
Apu-"Homer, I'm beginning to think that this Karma is a bunch of baloney."
Homer-"Ummmmmm....carmel-baloney."

The one with Ron Howard is one of the last ones I saw I recall really enjoying. I stuck with the series for a good period of time after that before I gave up in complete frustration (it wasn't an easy thing to do!), so there may have been some good ones after that, but that is the last good one in my memory.

(eating some terrible breakfast)
Lisa:Hey Dad want to come see my science project (nodding to the den)
Homer: No Lisa, but I sure don't want to eat this crappy breakfast.
