Ready for Tonight? (5/19)
While I'm not sure how much quality there will be tonight, this is certainly one of the most quantity intense evenings of television in quite a while.
I know a while ago there was a poll with some choices of different things tonight, but now that the day is here, how is everyone handling the situation?
After digging through a closet, I found an antique metal extension known in the old days as an antenna. I have the antenna hooked up to a VCR for The Practice, my DirecTiVo is set to record The X-Files and The Cosby Show Reunion, while another DirecTV receiver will channel Survivor live. I'll then TiVo Six Feet Under and The Chris Isaak Show on their West Coast feeds.
The only thing missing from this setup is Sunday Night Baseball, but I'm just going to have to deal with disappointment. That's 11 hours of programming to watch from 8pm to work Monday morning.
Anyone else trying the Pokemon "Gotta Catch'em All" approach to tonight's events?

I think you watch a little bit too much TV...
Anyway, I might watch the X-Files, but I haven't seen that show for a couple years, so I won't have a clue what's going on.
Is there anything important I should know going into the finale?

Ha ha! You have me beat! I will be Tivo-ing X-files and taping Cosby. I usually have to Tivo 6 Feet Under and QAF on the West Coast feeds so that will be the same. I have no interest whatsoever in Survivor or the Practice anymore. Something on my Sundays had to give! I am jealous of your DirecTivo! I can't record two things at once. I guess I better start dinner so I can sit still for the next 4 hours! Pop some popcorn and enjoy!

Many cable and satellite companies offer HBO (and Cinemax, Showtime, etc) pacakges, where if you buy the package, you get multiple channels. For example, for $12.95 a month, I get 8 HBO channels. There are four different chanels, with east and west coast feeds of each channel.

Woo hoo! I made it. I'll be a zombie at work, but it was worth it. Actually, it wasn't worth it as only Six Feet Under was anything memorable, but time spent watching TV is time well spent under any circumstances (unless you're watching Friends). Now, to prepare for the next three nights of non-stop finales ...
