I never watched Greg the Bunny (although I have a general idea of what kind of show that it was) but it seems to me that FOX executives would fail even if they had the powerhouse shows that NBC had in the 80s. They are lousy at pairing up sitcoms.
Pairing up Bernie Mac with Titus and then Greg the Bunny never made sense to me. They are very different kinds of sitcoms. Bernie Mac did well but to expect watchers of that show to hang around for either Titus or GTB seems unrealistic.

also, i'm a 24 fan, but i doubt they can bring it back for another season and keep the story good. serials tend to have lower ratings anyway so its not that good of a business decision although i heard a rumor that it wont be a serial in the fall, dont know if thats true.
but i'm willing to give up 24 for family guy and undeclared or even greg the bunny

Well, at least Futurama is still in the lineup. If they actually cancel that I'll never watch FOX again.
Oh, and the Simpsons jumped the shark at least two years ago. Time for that sorry show to bite the dust.

Agreed.
Expect the 2 years ago thing. 2 years ago? more like 4.
That "musical" season was pretty....ehhh, things didnt improve much after that.

true. greg teh bunny should be paired with something like family guy or andy ricter or undeclared. i think bernie mac could have worked with malcolm. fox doestn have too many family type shows so it kinda sticks out as a sore thumb

I agree. GTB would have fit well with Family Guy. BM would have been an excellent fit with Malcolm.
Titus used to be paired with That 70s Show - it was a good combo and they both got decent ratings. Then they decided to switch things up for some reason.

Am I the only one who's a bit worried about the line about the retooling of Andy Richter Controls the Universe? I'm afraid that they're gonna try and make it another stupid sitcom(watch them add a laugh track). Hopefully they'll air the episodes in proper order in the future.

I'm furious, and extremely saddened. I LOVED Greg the Bunny, and I really liked That 80's Show toward the end. They had just started to find their stride - the dynasty bitch character was much funnier for Sophia. Greg was hilarious from the start - d@mn fox.

As to Dark Angel, I agree with Chad:
I said it before and I'll say it again - while I too disliked the monster of the week formula they used in season 2, I really liked the overarching story and am extremely pissed I'll never know how it was supposed to end. I won't go into details here (wrong thread for them) but suffice it to say I REALLY want to know how Max's dna fit into the breeding cult's plan.
Again I agree with Chad - I sincerely hope that someone picks up Greg the Bunny, Dark Angel, and That 80's Show. I didn't watch the others, but they probably deserve picking up, too.
D@mn Fox. Now I'm down to only 24 and That 70's Show. I may watch Firefly - but I'm so sick and tired of Fox pulling the rug out from under shows I love or like that I feel it's a waste of time to get attached to a new one. Harsh Realm, Lone Gunmen, Dark Angel, That 80's Show, Greg the Bunny - all of these (and many more I'm sure) in recent memory cry out to be picked up and given a real chance to thrive.
Congratulations, Fox - you've succeeded in driving away even more viewers, me included.

Originally posted by Chad Six great shows flushed down the Fox toilet. Hopefully other networks will pick these up? Sci-Fi would be a great place for Dark Angel, while UPN or WB could pick up the remaining five...I mean it's not like they couldn't use the ratings.

I think they've shut down production on the show and handed out pink slips. Right?!?

I've read that there's about a half season's worth of episodes done or near completion. If that's true, I'd prefer they use it as a mid season replacement so it won't be pre-empted by the NFL (or worse-j.i.p). It would also allow it at least a chance at getting some ratings.

I just don't get what this new season of 24 is going to be about. It was billed as 24 hours in the life of Jack Bauer. Are they going to now change the name of the show to 48? Besides once they wrap up this plot next Tuesday, what more are they gonna do? Are they gonna invent some new plot against somebody else? I say, live and let die. 24 is a great show that did very well the entire year, but now it's time for it to go into oblivion (or reruns). Nothing more can be done with the premise, so it's time to sit down and create a new show now.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought I was going to regret going into this thread, because it seemed like this would be the confirming measure that Andy Richter had been cancelled (it's tied with Ed as my favorite current show) When I read that it's gonna be coming back, I exclaimed a "YES!!!" out loud! This has been a good week for good TV viewing

I'm bummed about "Undeclared" too but I knew it was toast so it's not a shock, FOX never even gave that program a chance to succeed.
But at least "Futurama" and "Andy Richter" have some hope left; not a lot, because FOX is too busy pimping David Kelley's femme lawyer crap, but at least some...
And have all those who say "Simpsons" jumped the shark even been watching it? The last 2-3 episodes have been as solid as any in years, IMHO...

Futurama: There are, in fact, closer to two complete seasons worth of shows in the can. FOX let the staff go because they're not going to order anymore shows until they've aired all the ones they already have. The show is not officially canceled and, given Matt Groening's clout and the fact that he clearly cares more about Futurama than the Simpsons at this point, it may actually have a chance of being 'officially' picked up again after next season.
And yeah, you're probably right. The Simpsons jumped the shark at least 4 years ago.

Besides, this series has become inconsistent as far as its "animated laws". On the one side its fairly consistent to how things were set up orginally. Maude Flander died and she didnt come back, this remains consistent to the laws set up in the begining (see commentary track on the babysitter episode from the 1st season). People cannot come back to life and people who get injured usually stay injured. Homer, on the other hand, has become nothing but a cartoon charater. At the expense of the "realism" in the show he is allowed to do many thing that would otherwise kill other charaters.

This is good enough news for me.
