Well, tonight will be the episode that indicates whether this whole season is a waste or not. OThers seem already convinced that it is and are writing it off.

Uhhh...yikes!?!?
Next week's looks like a doozy!
While Warren was evil, what Willow did really looks friggin evil in comparison.

Man, talk about a complete 180. Amazing how you can go from loving to hating a character in such a short time.
I sincerly hope Buffy takes Willow down. She took a life (It doesn't matter who's it was). She can never been completley redeemed now.

Damn damn damn.
Stupid Pistons playoff game has knocked out Buffy from tonight.
And its not listing in my Tivo for anytime this week. The next episode it lists as taping is next Tuesdays 2 hour season finale.
Does anyone know what time it should replay on Saturday?
Either that, or I have to scour the newsgroups hoping for a posting of the episode.

I just checked UPN 50's site and it says that Buffy & Roswell will be re-scheduled "pending the playoffs". My guess is sometime on Sunday, which is when they played last week's episode.

I liked this episode a lot...but I can't wait until next week!
I was actually shocked when Willow "skinned" Warren, I was in no way prepared for that.
I liked how Osiris explained why Willow could bring Buffy back, but not Tara. I was almost in tears when Willow was begging for Tara's life. I also felt REALLY bad for Dawn. What a way to find out that someone you love is dead...to walk in and she their dead body on the floor with no one else around.

Wow! A lot of anti-Willow sentiment suddenly.
So what do you think? Will Buffy destroy Willow, or does Willow live to fight another day (or season)? Obviously the dark side has gotten the best of Willow and she will never return, at least that would be logical. I heavily doubt many people would accept Willow as a fun loving Scoob again after committing such a grisly murder.
SPOILERS
P.S. I always had a hunch that Willow would wind up as this season's big bad. The best logical explanation actually lies within the film Unbreakable. Buffy is a very comic book like series and this season really wound up like one in its nature. You can always tell who the arch-villain is going to be: it's the exact opposite of the hero, and most of the time they're friends. That pretty much describes Buffy and Willow to a T.

Well this was one heck of an episode. I loved it and it is the one thing that Willow would go back to magic for. This ought to be a very interesting season finale.
I would like to think that since Xander, Buffy and Willow started the series together, they would finish it together. I don't know when this will be. However, I hope they don't kill Buffy - again. That's pretty old at this point.
As for whether or not Willow can be completely redeemed, I have one word for that - Faith. What Faith did was far worse. It was for no reason at all. Willow is motivated by her love for Tara.
I don't hate Willow at all. I think this is an interesting layer for this character. I'm not sure I would have went the exact same route to get her here, but this is an arrival long in the coming. It will be interesting to see how it works out.

*Loved* this episode! We can say all we want about Marti Noxon (and I've said plenty, believe me), but that woman can write like nobody's business. How wicked was the scene where Willow absorbs the words form the Dark Arts books?!? I had wondered how Buffy was going to be back on her feet in this episode. Slayer super-healing power is great, but not instantaneous. I never even imagined Willow would go and save her. I just assumed Willow would be too engrossed in her desire for revenge to even *think* about anybody else. Not that she wasn't hell-bent for that too. Damn. I was *almost* sorry for Warren...until Katrina pushed him over the edge and he said she deserved what he did to her. Then, even though it was wrong (damn those human laws! ;-) ), I was totally rooting for his demise. But yeesh, was it gruesome!
I was feeling the Scooby love this episode...even Willow's in that she saved Buffy. I loved Xander's line about having the blood of people he loves on his hands. And God, poor Dawn. How long do you suppose she sat in that room w/ Tara's body? I just wanted to comfort that poor child who has seen more than she ever deserved to in her brief 1 1/2 years on this earth.
And of course, I loved the scene with Clem. That demon is such a sweetie
And yowza! I can't wait for next week. Buffy gets her rocks back...Amen! *This* is the slayer I know and love. Rock on, Buffy!

What about Spike? Does anyone really think that the demon guy will remove the chip after Spike completes the trials? That would be way too predictable. The demon told Spike he would return him to the way he was, but the way he was when? Maybe he gives Spike a soul or makes him human. He would be returning Spike to the way he was... just not the was that Spike wants.

No problem here with Willow killing Warren. Hope she gets the other two, too. "Bad guys" need to be killed by the "good guys" in the end. Hasn't TV taught you anything?

Great episode and I can't wait for next week. There sure seems like a lot of material to work with in Buffy's last season, next year. What with major problems with Spike, Willow, and even Anya.

It cracks me up that someone would say they now "hate" Willow for killing Warren. It's called complexity, people. Willow has been pushed over the edge. I don't know where she's going from here but its a dark ride, for sure. But then, if the audience didn't care about her before then it wouldn't matter now. SInce she's been such a great character it makes what's happening here all the more interesting.

The Two hour finally is going to be great. Maybe Giles will be back to help save Willow, but I hope we get at least one major great fight between Buffy and Willow.
It is about time for Xander to come to Willow's rescue since they have been best friends for so many years.
About Spike, I miss the days when he was evil. All the back and forth between him and Buffy was great.

I think they have made Willow too powerful. I mean she should be able to kill Buffy without any effort whatsoever. I assume she will be holding back because she is Buffy's friend, but if it were to come to it, Buffy really shouldn't win if she doesn't come with a plan or some magic blocking item or something. As it stands I better not see Buffy just beat the crap out of her without MAJOR assistance.

Too little too late.
Better than the Mayor season, oh brother.
So Tara lays on the floor dead for hours and Dawn just sits there? Come on.
Willow going Big bad wasnt even as good as when she went big bad against Glory.
People you cant redeem a whole season of bad storytelling by a couple of kick ass scenes.

I liked the Mayor season.
I got my mom to watch the episode with me and man with my surround sound and the final scene. Scared the crap out of mom and i was amazed that they did that. Grossed out my mom and i liked it.
I think Spike will become the way he was before. A normal human. That's what he once was and was no longer considered a fighter. Have him die next year do to all the booze and Cigarettes he keeps inhaling.
If you live near the Canadian boarder try YTV @ 8 on Saturday to see this weeks episode.
I hope Willow is the final boss for the final season. Can't lose her this year. Even though it would be cool. But it's happening too fast. I just hop ei don't work next week.

As for the episode, I enjoyed it for the most part. They're finally back on track with some story that makes sense, but it still feels a little paint-by-numbers for me. Still, things are slowly coming back into form. I'm not going to drool over this episode as anything spectacular, but it's much closer to where we need to be. I didn't like the way they painted Warren as an evil murderer. Willow would have killed him regardless; there's no need to make the audience less sympathetic of the character. That seemed forced, like much of the season has been. I hope the vagueness of Spike's "take me back to before"/"things will be different" comments are leading to becoming human again. If not, then he needs to get back to being evil. I had wished they'd handle the Dark Willow thing a little more subtly and split the Scoobies between her and Buffy. But the way they're playing it, she appears to be more on her own right now. Maybe that will change.
I too don't see how anyone has different feelings for the Willow people. As much as this season has tried to hide it, this is her character. Aside from the silly after-school approach to her depth mid-season, she's been headed down this path since early second season. Various things have delayed this, but we're finally where we've been going all along. If you think Willow's "changed," then you haven't been watching the show.
Anyway, it's good to be going somewhere with the show again. Things still feel a bit forced, and the writing isn't very crisp, but the major plot points are all there. If they can finish strong, it should play nicely into the final season.
